Americans have turned away from CNN.
CNN got a prime-time town hall with former Vice President Mike Pence – it drew 1.186 million viewers.
Despite getting the former Vice President CNN still trailed both Fox News and MSNBC in the ratings.
Even a town hall with former Vice President Mike Pence wasn’t enough to reverse CNN’s ailing ratings fortunes.
Jake Tapper’s broadcast with Pence had a smaller audience than both Fox News and MSNBC on Wednesday, according to Mediaite.
The prime-time event with the former Vice President drew 1.186 million viewers, which was larger than Tapper’s usual draw, according to Mediaite.
Ratings by channel:
Fox News: 3.34 million
MSNBC: 1.54 million
CNN: 1.19 million
CNN’s Pence town hall brought in 1.19 million total viewers from 9 to 10:20 p.m. while Fox News’s Hannity scored 3.34 million total viewers and MSNBC’s Alex Wagner brought in 1.54 million viewers.
CNN did manage to top MSNBC in the key 25-54 age demographic during the town hall bringing in 285,000 demo viewers, compared to MSNBC’s 128,000. Hannity scored 453,000 demo viewers — the third most overall.
Maybe CNN should try reporting the truth to fix its ratings problem.
