How to Make Colloidal Silver | 4 Quick and Easy-to-Follow Steps
What You’ll Need:
- 3 pcs. of 9-volt batteries
- 4 pcs. of alligator grips attached to 2 pcs. of 2 ft. of electric wire
- 2 pcs. of 999.99 pure silver wire
- 1 cup of distilled water
- 2 drops of saline
Step 1: Connect the Batteries to One Another
Start by putting two 9-volt batteries beside one another with the smaller circular terminal or the positive side on the left side for both batteries. This means that the larger octagonal or hexagonal terminal or the negative terminal of the battery on the left is directly beside the positive terminal of the battery on the right.
Now, connect the two by snapping the terminals of the third battery unto the two batteries you placed side by side.
Connect the positive terminal of the third battery to the negative terminal of the battery on the left. Additionally, link the negative terminal of the third battery to the positive terminal of the battery on the right.
Step 2: Attach the Alligator Grips to the Batteries
Next, grab your two pairs of alligator grips. Connect one alligator grip from each pair to the free poles of your batteries. The other side of each pair of alligator grips should still be free at this point.

Step 3: Dip the Silver Wire in the Water and Add Saline
Now, attach a piece of silver wire to each of the free alligator grips. Check to see that the alligator grips are clamped tightly on the silver wires.
Now, dip each piece of silver wire in the cup of distilled water and add 2 drops of saline. Make sure to leave at least an inch between each of the silver wires.
Step 4: Wait Until the Colloidal Silver is Ready
At this point, the positive wire should start releasing silver ions that will cloud the water. The negative wire, on the other hand, will start forming bubbles.
When you see that the water turns cloudy-whitish, then your colloidal silver is ready. You may now disconnect the apparatus and clean the blackened silver electrode before using it again.
