If you’re anything like me, you probably understand the struggle to have enough space in your gun safe or storage system. One of the biggest struggles I often have with my firearms is having the proper amount of storage. I own several safes that seem to fill up almost overnight. I decided a couple months ago to pick up a storage system for firearms in my office so I can easily store certain firearms at my work to keep things easy. With a number of storage systems on the market, I ended up choosing the GallowTech Ultimate Gun Cabinet and after having it for a few months, I have finally had it long enough to have some opinions on it. Let’s take a closer look at the GallowTech Ultimate Gun Cabinet.

The Ultimate Gun Cabinet from GallowTech is no small cabinet. It stands just over 6 feet high and 3.5 feet wide. GallowTech make their gun cabinets out of 12 and 14-gauge steel that is welded throughout the entire cabinet. They also included little details like continuous heavy-duty hinges for the doors which are solid steel throughout the cabinet. This adds weight to the cabinet and weighs in just under 500lbs but once it’s set in place, it feels like a sturdy solid unit.
Both doors have multiple locking locations for better security and come with the option of a locking key handle or electronic punch pad for an additional price. There are a number of various options for the Ultimate Gun Cabinet and my package came with over 42 attachments from the factory. The real advantage of this cabinet over something like a traditional gun safe is the amount of modular space you can truly build a setup that fulfills your needs whether you have a few rifles and pistols or more than a few like someone who’s addicted to shooting like myself.
Pricing on these cabinets varies depending on the size and amount of attachments that come with them. They have a number of options for smaller weapon lockers but the Ultimate Gun Cabinet really is for people who are deep into the gun hobby. The basic cabinet starts at $2,299 and can go up depending on if you go with a package deal. My package deal ended up being $2649.99 but came with the 42 attachments as I said earlier. These are all shipped by freight due to their weight but once it’s set up, it really is an impressive way to display your guns.
Modular Setup
They sell a wide variety of prepackaged kits for individuals to build a cabinet based on what their needs are. GallowTech offers the cabinet as an empty shell for the customer to make their own setup. If you’d like something set up from the factory with predetermined mounts, you can put where you’d like they also offer three different packages with various mounts for whatever setup you may need. I went with the Ultimate Gun Cabinet Package 2 which included mounts for 22 rifles and 12 handguns.
If you don’t use the helmet mount and plate carrier holder, you can fit a number of other firearms into the cabinet boosting those numbers even higher. Having modular wall panels on the back, sides, as well as doors allows you to put your gun mounts wherever you need them the most. Whether you have more rifles or pistols will determine your set up and I really enjoyed maximizing the space to fit as many guns as possible inside my cabinet. Out of all the systems I’ve used before, the GallowTech system is by far the most modular system I have used to date. It may be one of the more expensive options but the ability to set up a gun wall or cabinet is easier with their system than the other systems on the market today.
Adding Accessories
All attachments from GallowTech attach in three places with a support bracket possible for heavy attachments. I feel completely confident in the set up so I haven’t installed the extra brackets but they do come standard with the Ultimate Gun Cabinet packages. My prepackaged mounts came with 6 display mounts and two 3 pistol racks for storage and display. It’s a nice mix and when there are certain areas with free space for extra firearms.
At the time of writing this article, I decided not to use the plate carrier hanging and instead add more mounts for firearms. I decided to order another 22 mounts to fill the remaining space in my cabinet which just goes to show how many firearms you can truly fit into these cabinets. They may not have a fire rating but for the price, these offer the most space and modularity on the market currently. There are other options for gun cabinets from other manufacturers on the market today, but the level of quality on the GallowTech is higher than anything else I have used to date.
Overall Thoughts
I have used various cabinets from companies like SecureIT and a few others with mixed results. I have sold every cabinet I picked up because of problems with the electronic locks or quality issues but this GallowTech has performed better than any other option I have used so far. Yes, it’s by far the most expensive but for the price, you really do get a lot for your money. I was a little nervous to pull the trigger with the higher price tag, but after using it for the last couple of months, I couldn’t t be happier with the Ultimate Gun Cabinet.
