Hornady has already announced some of their products late last year but they are new for 2023. First up is the new Hornady 7mm PRC cartridge offerings. There are at least 30 gun builders chambering rifles for this caliber. Here is the list from their website.

Their first Hornady 7mm PRC cartridge is their Match ammo. It uses a 180gr ELD Match bullet. A box will be around $68 MSRP. With an average muzzle velocity of 2975 fps and energy of 3439 ft/lbs. The Hornady 7mm PRC MATCH ammo has a BC of .796 (G1), .401 (G7).
They have two hunting loads in their Outfitter and Precision Hunter line. The Hornady 7mm PRC Outfitter uses a 160gr CX bullet. It features corrosion resistant nickel-plated cases that are sealed watertight. It has a muzzle velocity of 3,000 fps and muzzle energy of 3197 ft/lbs. A box of Hornady 7mm PRC Outfitter will cost around $73.
Next up is their Precision Hunter 7mm PRC. It uses a 175gr ELD-X bullet. It also has a muzzle velocity of 3,000 FPS and muzzle energy of 3497 ft/lbs. A box of this will cost around $73 per box.
Sub Sonic 7.62×39
Hornady is no offering 7.62×39 in sub sonic cartridges that work in a standard AK-47. It uses a 255gr projectile Out of a 20″ test barrel it measures 1050 fps and 624 ft/lbs. A box of twenty will cost $40 each. One main feature of this bullet is that it is designed to expand.
