As reported earlier, Nancy Pelosi’s husband Paul was injured in a home attack early on Friday morning.
Paul Pelosi’s attacker is 42-year-old Berkeley resident David Depape, The San Francisco Standard reported.
San Francisco police chief William Scott said Depape was booked on charges of attempted homicide, assault with a deadly weapon, elder abuse, burglary and “several additional felonies.”
Paul Pelosi, husband of Nancy Pelosi was violently attacked with a hammer in his San Francisco home.
Both men were hospitalized.
According to NBC News, Paul Pelosi was taken to Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital where he underwent brain surgery.
The attack reportedly took place after 2:20 AM.
And David Depape was in his underwear when the police arrived.

On Friday evening San Francisco police chief William Scott held a second brief press conference on the attack.
During this press conference Chief Scott, provided new information on the Pelosi home attack.
** According to Chief Scott, the police officers arrived at the front door of the Pelosi home. The door was opened “by someone inside.”
** When the front door was opened the police witnessed Paul Pelosi and Depape fighting over a hammer. Depape took control of the hammer and allegedly attacked Paul Pelosi. DePape hit Pelosi “at least one time” in the head. The police tackled the assailant.
** According to Chief Scott, David Depape forced himself into the rear door.
** David Depape is still in the hospital.
** This was not a random act. “This was intentional.”
