Ho Ho Ho it’s time for another roller delayed blowback gun. The PTR 9CT Classic is here by popular demand. The 9CT Classic features all of the original MP5 lines that you know and love without any of the modern attachments or features that are on the 9CT. In addition to the classic look and feel, the 9CT Classic will also come standard with new production 20-round metal magazines adding to its retro roller-delayed look.

The standard 9CT normally ships with a more modern M-LOK foregrip, two ETS plastic magazines, and a welded top optics rail. Many customers were not a fan of this new modern configuration and instead wanted something that looked closer to the classic roller delayed design we all know and love from our favorite movies and games. That is why the new 9CT will come with a classic forend, all-metal 20-round magazines, and original claw mount optics mounting solution.

If you want a classic MP5 as more of a collectible or a more true-to-form version of the classic MP5 design, this might be the ticket for you. What the 9CT Classic offers is a more pure roller delayed blowback experience even if it might be a bit less tactical and less practical than more modern evolutions of the design. We’d like to hear your thoughts on the new 9CT Classic from PTR. Is this retro roller delayed pistol something you’d pick up to collect or shoot? Let us know down in the comments.
