On Monday President Trump released a statement calling on Wisconsin GOP leaders to extend Special Counsel Michael Gableman’s contract into potential fraud and crimes of the 2020 presidential election.
Special Counsel Gableman released an explosive preliminary report in March where he still has outstanding subpoenas to Democrat mayors and election officials and voting machine companies including Dominion.
President Trump on Monday very publicly urged GOP Speaker Robin Vos to extend former Supreme Court Jusice Michael Gableman’s contract. Gableman still has interviews and questioning of several officials in order to finish his investigation
President Donald J. Trump: “The Special Counsel appointed by the Wisconsin Assembly to investigate the crimes of the 2020 Election did an outstanding job. He discovered many pieces of evidence that indicate foul play. Anyone calling themselves a Republican in Wisconsin should support the continued investigation in Wisconsin without interference. After all of the evidence the report brought to light, how could anyone want to stop it? I understand some RINOs have primary challengers in Wisconsin. I’m sure their primary opponents would get a huge.”
Apparently, the nudge by President Trump worked. Robin Vos today released a statement extending the 2020 election investigation.
Urban Milwaukee reported:
Wisconsin Assembly Speaker Robin Vos (R-Rochester) released the following statement regarding comments made about the Office of Special Counsel.
“Media reports and the statement put out by Representative Brandtjen were incorrect. The Office of Special Counsel will remain opan as we guarantee the legal power of our legislative subpoenas and get through the other lawsuits that have gridlocked this investigation.
“We are grateful for Justice Gableman‘s offer to reduce his salary as we are all concerned about the judicious use of taxpayers’ dollars. Our intention is to remain within the original budget allocated for the investigation.”
