Parting Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has arrived in Florida while the incoming leftist successor Lula da Silva is set be inaugurated today. Vice-President Hamilton Mourão disappointed Bolsonaro backers by attacking the President.

Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva was inaugurated as President of Brazil at 3:05 pm local time today, dashing the hopes of millions of Brazilians who protested for two months night and day in rain and shine, hoping to avert a Communist coup in the largest South American country.

A man carrying an explosive device and a knife was allegedly arrested while attempting to enter the inauguration of Brazil’s new president, according to Sky News.

Parting President Jair Bolsonaro is staying at the home of Brazilian UFC fighter José Aldo in Kissimmee, Florida with his family, where he was cheered by fans on the streets of Orlando today.

He arrived Friday night with wife Michelle and daughter Laura.

Vice-President Hamilton Mourão disappointed Bolsonaro supporters Saturday evening by failing to mention the President in his 8 minute speech. “We work, and we will deliver a balanced country to the next government,” said the Vice President.

Protesters outside Army HQ demanded answers, and riot police were deployed.

Members of the Communist Forum de São Paulo Presidents Daniel Ortega from Nicaragua, Gabriel Boric from Chile, Gustavo Petro from Colombia and Alberto Fernandes from Argentia will be present.

The São Paulo forum was founded by Lula and Fidel Castro and has ties to the cartels and FARC guerillas.

Venezuelan dictator Nicolas Maduro canceled plans to attend over security concerns.
