After Urging Herschel Walker Not to Run for Senate – Sen. John Thune Suddenly Endorses Him in Georgia Senate Race

President Trump joined the Clay Travis and Buck Sexton Show in June. He told the hosts he thinks former football great Herschel Walker will enter the US Senate race in Georgia as a Republican.

Herschel Walker is a conservative favorite and leads Marxist Senator Raphael Warnock in the 2022 race in the early polling.

But RINO Senators Mitch McConnell, John Thune and John Cornyn were hoping he wouldn’t run for some reason.
Mitch McConnell even threatened to pick his own nominee to run against Walker.

They know he is a Trump Republican and they don’t want him in their elite club.

In late August, Herschel Walker filed papers to run for US Senator from Georgia.

And in September President Trump endorsed the former football great in his Georgia Senate race!

But on Monday Senator Thune backtracked and endorsed Herschel Walker for US Senate.
McConnell must have given him the green light.

Via FOX News:

Republican leaders are starting to rally around Walker, a strong ally and surrogate of former President Donald Trump who’s running in a race that may determine if the GOP wins back the majority in the Senate in the 2022 elections.

“I am proud to endorse Herschel Walker for U.S. Senate in Georgia,” Sen. John Thune, the number two Senate Republican, said on Monday as he endorsed Walker.
