The Neck Gaiter Is One Of The Most Versatile Survival Accessories
I think everyone should own at least one.
And I believe a neck gaiter is a better option than a survival bandana.
Why? Because the neck gaiter is more versatile and useful for both everyday and survival.
Plus, they look cooler and are so affordable, there’s really no excuse not to own one.
Or even several…
I get it…I had my fill of face coverings through the Pandemic to last a lifetime.
But these lightweight neck gaiters are not for THAT.
- They keep dust and bug off your face on your motorcycle, bike, or ATV
- They’re to keep the sun from frying your face when out on the water
- They’re for keeping your neck (and nose) from freezing while skiing or boarding

This “feature” is highly personal. Do you want something that looks menacing, like a skeleton? OR are you more likely to wear something with a pretty flower pattern on it? Or maybe you like to keep things simple with a flat black design. The design options CAN (and often DOES) make or break a sale. So be aware if you don’t love the design options available. You can always keep shopping around until you do. Just don’t skimp on all the other “more practical” features for the design alone. As always, the price can be a feature. If you can get your hands on a decent quality FREE neck gaiter, you have nothing to lose. So you might as well give it a try, right? But if you have to fork over $100, well, then it better be amazing, right? And it should be able to cook dinner and wash the dishes too! The point is price always comes into play with any survival gear. FREE can be amazing, but it can also mean cheap POS as well. But since the risk is so low, it’s normally worth checking out. Or you can invest a few more dollars on something that’s a bit more proven. Your choice. As a survival site, we’re always on the hunt for the best gear for any survival or emergency situation.
