Russia Says The U.S. Has “Questions to Answer” Over Nord Stream Pipelines

Russia says the United States has some questions to answer about the pipelines that were sabotaged. Russia’s Foreign Ministry was commenting on a blog post published earlier on Wednesday by respected American journalist Seymour Hersh that accused the U.S. military of involvement in the blasts that took out the Nord Stream pipelines.

Russia is alleging Joe Biden green-lighted the operation and it was carried out by the military-industrial complex of the U.S. Russian foreign ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova called on the White House to address the “facts” presented by Hersh, according to a report by Al Jazeera.

“President Joseph Biden saw the pipelines as a vehicle for [Russian President] Vladimir Putin to weaponize natural gas for his political and territorial ambitions,” Hersh wrote.

Hersh isn’t the only one to feel like the U.S. is neck-deep in this sabotage.

Retired Pentagon Advisor Says The U.S. Is The Most Likely to Destroy Nord Stream Pipelines

The Most Likely Saboteur of the Nord Stream Pipeline is the USA

Last June, the Navy divers, operating under the cover of a widely publicized mid-summer NATO exercise known as BALTOPS 22, planted the remotely triggered explosives that, three months later, destroyed three of the four Nord Stream pipelines, according to a source with direct knowledge of the operational planning.

Two of the pipelines, which were known collectively as Nord Stream 1, had been providing Germany and much of Western Europe with cheap Russian natural gas for more than a decade. A second pair of pipelines, called Nord Stream 2, had been built but were not yet operational. Now, with Russian troops massing on the Ukrainian border and the bloodiest war in Europe since 1945 looming, President Joseph Biden saw the pipelines as a vehicle for Vladimir Putin to weaponize natural gas for his political and territorial ambitions.

The Central Intelligence Agency and the White House both have said this claim is false when questioned about it.  Adrienne Watson, a White House spokesperson, said in an email, “This is false and complete fiction.” Tammy Thorp, a spokesperson for the Central Intelligence Agency, similarly wrote: “This claim is completely and utterly false.”

Another glaringly obvious sign that this is all a coverup was Sweden’s refusal to share the details of its investigation with Russia, the country that owns the pipelines that were blown up.
