Tucker Carlson 1 A.M. Reruns Beat All But 3 CNN Shows In The Ratings

Even reruns get higher ratings than CNN.

“Tucker Carlson Tonight” 1 a.m. reruns drew 751,000 viewers – this is higher than all but three CNN shows.

Among the key demographic Tucker’s reruns drew 154,000 viewers – this is higher than all but two CNN shows.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson’s prime time show “Tucker Carlson Tonight” airs for a second time on weeknights at 1 a.m. ET — and his late-night rerun still draws a larger audience in the key demographic than all but two of the shows in CNN’s entire lineup.

According to Nielsen Media Research, Carlson’s 1 a.m. repeat draws a total audience of 751,000 — which puts him ahead of every live CNN offering save for three: “The Lead with Jake Tapper,” which draws a total audience of 798,000; “Erin Burnett Outfront,” which draws 800,000 total viewers; and “Anderson Cooper 360,” which has an audience of 802,000.

But in the key demographic — the 25-54 age range — Carlson does even better. His rerun racks up an audience of 154,000 in that age range, besting every CNN show but two. Cooper draws an audience of 181,000 in the key demo, while Burnett scores 183,000 viewers in the same age range.

Overall, Fox News beat both CNN and MSNBC in the ratings.

Fox News reported:

Fox News will finish 2022 as the most-watched cable network in all of television for the seventh straight year, “The Five” made history as the first non-primetime program to ever lead cable news viewership for an entire year, and Laura Ingraham finished as the highest-rated female host.

Americans flocked to Fox News during a jam-packed year that saw Russia invade Ukraine, the death of Queen Elizabeth II, crucial midterm elections, widespread economic issues, the impact of the COVID pandemic, Elon Musk’s Twitter takeover, the raid of former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence and other major news stories.

“From America’s choice on election night to the home of late night’s smash hit show, 2022 was a testament to our unmatched skill in delivering the most innovative news and opinion programming to our audience which continues to rank as the most politically diverse in cable news. I am beyond proud of our entire team’s incredible achievements this year,” FOX News Media CEO Suzanne Scott said.

Fox News averaged 1.5 million total day viewers, a 12% increase compared to 2021. Despite the news-heavy year, MSNBC averaged 733,000 viewers to shed 19% of its 2021 audience and CNN managed only 586,000 average viewers to lose 27% of last year’s viewership.

This is embarrassing for CNN!
