The media at the Japan Olympics tried to make a big deal about the New Zealand transgender who qualified in the Olympics in women’s weightlifting. The athletes didn’t share the same excitement about the male-female weightlifter.
We learned shortly before the Olympics that a male turned female transgender qualified for the Olympics in women’s weightlifting.
Unfortunately for Hubbard he got beat by a bunch of women.
The media was impressed by the Olympics for allowing Hubbard to participate as a woman. However, the female athletes didn’t share their enthusiasm.
Li Wenwen, Emily Campbell, and Sarah Robles all ignored a question about Laurel Hubbard when asked about their thoughts during a press conference.
