In 2020 voters complained that they were given Sharpie markers to fill in their ballots on election day.
The day after the 2020 Election there was controversy over the use of sharpies in some Arizona locations. Later we discovered this occurred across the nation.
In mid-July Sharpiegate was back in the news:
After this post, a number of individuals shared that they too were handed a sharpie when voting in the 2020 Election. These messages came from all across the country: Chicago; Sun City, AZ; Upland, CA; San Diego, CA; Fountain, CA; Idaho; Nevada; and, Pennsylvania.
Then we discovered exactly how sharpies were used in the 2020 Election – intentionally to disquality Trump voters.
The Gateway Pundit received emails from more readers who had this happen across the country.
Then in July 2021 an email was released at a county meeting by Maricopa County Elections Assistant Director Kelly Dixon.
In the email dated October 22, 2020, Dixon writes to notify election clerks that they must issue ballpoint pens every day prior to Election Day.
Then…
“We NEED to use markers on Election Day,” she writes.
Why did they only use markers on Election Day?
Trump supporters voted in overwhelming numbers on Election Day, in person, due to the concerns about mail-in ballot fraud. It looks like they took the necessary measures to suppress these votes as well.
Jennifer Asper shared an image of this letter on Twitter, originally shared by Garret Lewis and swept under the rug by the media.
Lewis: CAUGHT! Maricopa County Elections Worker Kelly Dixon ordered her staff to use ballpoint pens for early voting from 10/23-11/2. They NEED to use markers on Election Day.
Why? The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors need to see this and call for a full audit. RT and share!
Asper: Busted! They knew most Trump voters would wait to vote on Election Day. #SharpieGate
Maricopa County: Hi Amazing Troubleshooters!
Firat and foremost I want to thank you all for supporting this historic election. From my seat in the Command Center today, I finally had the chance to marvel at all the numbers and feel unbelievably grateful for all of you working so hard in support of Democracy Thanks isn’t good enough, but THANKS!!
Next, we’ve heard you and we know youre hearing issues and concerns about the Sharpie Markers. Starting tomorrow, 10/23 and through 11/2m we are asking that Clerks hand voters BALLPOINT PENS ather than markers. We NEED to use Markers on Election Day, but for now and through 11/2, hand voters a Ballpoint Pen. You have plenty of pens in your supplies right now.
The Gateway Pundit reported 2 days after the election that Arizona ballot instructions read, “Do NOT use a sharpie type pen as it will bleed through.”
And then we learned why this was happening.
Fast forward to today.
The Gateway Pundit is receiving numerous emails today from across the country that election officials are handing our Sharpie pens to election day voters.
** T. in Illinois: Hi there, I just want to report they are MAKING us use sharpies and I objected & mentioned bleed through. I was told “write lightly.” Here is my evidence of my own ballot and the sharpie bleeding through.
** D. in California: Hello, I live in Manteca California. I just voted and we were given these felt tip pens. I’ll include a pic. Thank you for all your doing!!! Sincerely, D.
** Russ in Yavapai, AZ: The community center in Fountain Hills was busy and decided to vote at Fort McDowell.
Had to sign in on the computer screen, verify and scan drivers license to have ballot printed. The poll worker indicated that I needed to use the provided sharpie pen.
I said I brought my own pen, and he indicated that the ballot may not scan correctly and subsequently I may need to fill out a new ballot. My ballot was fed in the machine and was accepted on the second try. I asked the poll worker about the 20% of machines not correctly working in Maricopa county and he said you can’t always believe the news you hear.
Thank you Gateway Pundit for uncensored reporting!
This year I brought my own ballpoint pen with me just in case. Once again they gave me a sharpie but I didn’t use it.
It could be incompetence, or it could be nothing. But I wonder: If the selections bleed through the ballot could it possibly give them an excuse to reject the ballot if they don’t like the candidates selected on it?
and machine looked the same but was really more of a drop box (it did not suck your ballot in, nor electronically show you it had received. Want to believe our votes counted but frustrated that we even have a question. Thank you all of your hard work, your MANY hours are not wasted, you have kept us informed and awakened the masses😊SO Appreciate your work Gateway Pundit!
** K. in Massachusetts: When my wife and I went to vote in person in Newbury Massachusetts this morning, we were given felt tip markers. We were instructed to fill out our ballots using nothing but the felt tip marker. We have heard using this type of marker would cause our ballots to go into adjudication.
** Emily in Minnesota: Hope it’s nothing but, Crow Wing County, MN is handing out “Paper Mate Flair Medium pens” for filling in ballots. These appear to me to be like Sharpies. I spoke with election officials where I just voted and they called the Crow Wing County head office and all said the pens are approved and the machines will count my vote. Note: Our signatures for personal identification were done with black ballpoint pens and these pens were intentionally separated from the pens in question.
The Gateway Pundit received dozens of emails like this today.
We all know why this is happening.
