After a yearlong investigation, the sham House Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th began its first hearing Thursday night.
The unprecedently partisan and unconstitutional committee is debuting never-before-seen recordings and documentation from closed-door depositions with Trump officials on primetime.
Rep. Bennie Thompson kicked off the proceedings by playing the race card.
“I’m from a part of the country where people justify the actions of slavery, the Ku Klux Klan and lynching. I’m reminded of that thought in history as I hear voices today try to justify the actions of the insurrectionists on January 6, 2021,” Thompson lamented.
“It was domestic enemies of the constitution who stormed… and occupied the Capitol,” Thompson insisted.
The Mississippi Democrat, who just won his primary earlier this week, blasted former President Donald Trump for coordinating the “culmination of an attempted coup.”
“[Trump] spurred a mob of domestic enemies of the constitution to march down the capital and subvert American democracy,” he said.
Thompson then played a video of Trump’s traitorous Attorney General Bill Barr explaining that he resigned from the administration because he refused to sit idly by while the nation’s leader plotted to stay in power based on lies of electoral fraud.
“I made it clear I did not agree with the idea the election was stolen, which… I told the president was bullshit,” Barr is heard stating during a videotaped deposition.
As Americans face historic inflation, a baby formula shortage and skyrocketing inflation, the January 6 committee is projected to spend more than $8 million of taxpayer dollars in 2022 to uncover little to no new evidence about the events that unfolded during the January 6 protest.
The committee employs 51 staffers and the committee has an average salary of $124,416, Breitbart News reports.
