The Communist crackdown continues in Brazil as leading conservative network Jovem Pan was taken off the air and forced to fire top journalists including Paulo Figueiredo Filho, Rodrigo Constantino and Zoe Martinez. Gateway Pundit interviewed Oswaldo Eustáquio, who was arrested on orders of the Supreme Court three times and tortured in 2020. He is now in hiding.
On December 22, 2022, power-mad Chief Justice Alexanre der Moraes ordered the arrest of Jovem Pan journalist Oswaldo Eustáquio for the crime of attending protests and urging the Military to invoke Article 142, which allows the military to intervene in conflicts between branches of government.
Oswaldo Eustáquio is an award-winning journalist. In 2009, he produced the film Quebrando o Silêncio, about the killing of indigenous babies in Brazil, which received the International Young Peace Prize in 2009. In December 2018, he was part of President Jair Bolsonaro’s transition team.
In 2019, US journalist Glenn Greenwald published hacked phone calls meant to exonerate current president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, who was in prison at the time, serving a 10-year sentence over the 17 billion $ Car Wash embezzlement scandal.
Eustáquio was the first journalist to identify Greenwald’s hackers, who hacked the conversations of the prosecutors and Judge Moro, who had busted Lula and 200 other corrupt politicians. 14 days after his report, the hackers were arrested.
Eustáquio relentlessly attacked Greenwald, who lives in Brazil with his husband, Rio Senator David Miranda. Eustáquio accused Greenwald of hiring young Brazilian men to produce porn films, and accused Miranda of having been a callboy. Miranda and Greenwald recruited young men from the favelas and paid them 1000 Reals for performing in gay porn films for Greenwald’s company Hairy Studs, which began making films in Rio de Janeiro in 2005, as Agora Parana reported 2019. Greenwald acknowledged his porn career to New York Daily News.
In 2020, he revealed a coup plot against Jair Bolsonaro in a historic interview with former federal deputy Roberto Jefferson, with more than 250,000 people watching simultaneously, the biggest political live broadcast in the history of Brazil.
Eustáquio was arrested on June 26 2020, on Nov. 17, 2020 and Dec. 18 2020 on the orders of Chief Justice de Moraes, for alleged “anti-democratic acts” including criticizing the Supreme Court. He was held in Papuda prison, where the Jan. 8 protestors are currently being held, where he was beaten, tortured and left partly paralyzed.
Speaking before the Senate Transparency Commission Dec. 1, 2022, he called Papuda “hell”.
“I wasn’t just assaulted and beaten, I was tortured. I carry the scars on my body to this day”, which was recorded when he had to be treated medically. They even took away his Brazilian flag and prevented him from reading the Bible. “I am living proof of the abuses of Alexandre de Moraes,” he continued. He was left wheel-chair bound.
He is been banned from using all social networks and contacting fellow opposition leaders.
Oswaldo Eustáquio has filed charges with the Inter-American Court of Human Rights against Chief Justice Alexandre de Moraes, president of the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), for violating “the right to freedom of expression” in the country, with “several temporary arrests illegally decreed”.
Gateway Pundit was able to interview Oswaldo Eustáquio in hiding in Mexico, where he described his torture.
On my third arrest Dec. 18, 2020, I was taken to Papuda Prison. I got there with a Brazilian flag wrapped around my body. The officer who received me pulled the flag away from, me and said that it would be burned with my clothes. They left me naked. They took away my wedding ring and denied me a Bible, a forbidden book inside the prison.
At that moment, in a symbolic way, everything I believed in was taken away from me: God, Homeland, Family and Freedom. In fact, they tried to do this through the symbols that were taken from me, but these principles and values were embedded in my body, soul and spirit.
On the first day I was already beaten in jail for arguing with the prison guards. I was naked when they beat me up.
Being beaten in jail was not my “privilege”. Every prisoner in jail gets beaten at some point.
There was a group of prison guards who didn’t like me because of my conservative right-wing political views. I was beaten every time this team was on duty.
As there were four teams, this occurred, on average, every four days.
In one of the times I was tortured with a technique called Extraction. They call it that alluding to the removal of a tooth. One policeman twisted my left arm, another twisted my right arm and a third hanged me. Meanwhile two beat me with tonfa. When I was almost out of air, the policeman who was hanging me let me go and when I went to get some air, they pepper-sprayed my mouth and eyes. I passed out.
What is your message to the Brazilian people?
Brazil is an incredible country. Everything you plant, grows and gives back. We have the Amazon rainforest, we are the lungs of the world. In addition, we are also the barn of the world: One fifth of all food on the planet originates in Brazil. We have the world’s two largest river systems. Our subsoil contains 99% of all Niobium reserves in the world. And we, the Brazilian people, are the guardians of all this.
We are an unstoppable, indestructible people. We have suffered a terrible defeat in this battle, but we are going to reorganize ourselves and resume the fight against a Communist system that wants to steal all these riches. Hope is not the last to die, it never dies.
