Paul Pelosi Exercised $1 Million to $5 Million Alphabet Stock Call Options Before Lawmakers Introduced Congressional Stock Trading Ban

Paul Pelosi, husband of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, exercised $1 million to $5 million Alphabet call options before Democrats proposed a congressional stock trading ban.

Fox News reported:

Paul Pelosi, husband of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, exercised call options on at least $1 million worth of Alphabet stock ahead of last month’s bill banning members of Congress from purchasing individual stocks.

Paul Pelosi exercised call options on anywhere between $1 million and $5 million worth of Alphabet stock on Sept. 16, after which they would have expired.

Paul Pelosi originally purchased the right to buy Google stock at a given price in December 2021. Alphabet is the parent company of tech heavyweight Google.

Nancy Pelosi noted the purchase on Friday via an official congressional disclosure.

The disclosure shows that Paul Pelosi exercised the call options one week before a bill was introduced to the House of Representatives that bans the trading of individual stocks by congress members and their spouses.

The bill was backed by Nancy Pelosi.

Recall, earlier this year it was reported Paul Pelosi sold all of his NVIDIA stock just one day before Congress was set to vote on a bill that would boost domestic production of semiconductors.

Paul Pelosi, bought up to $5 million in stock options in a computer-chip company back in June.

Paul Pelosi bought anywhere between $1 to $5 million in Nvidia stock options.

Mr. Pelosi dumped all of his NVIDIA stock and suffered a loss of $341,365, according to Insider.

Nancy Pelosi over the summer denied her husband has ever made a stock purchase or sale based on information he received from her.

“Has your husband ever made a stock purchase or sale based on info received from you?” a reporter asked Pelosi during her weekly briefing.

“No! Absolutely not, okay, thank you,” Pelosi said as she walked away from the lectern.
