Fauci Says COVID-19 Vaccines Don’t Protect Against Infection “Overly Well” — Admits It Didn’t Protect Him From Infection (VIDEO)

Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) and White House chief medical adviser, admitted in an interview on Tuesday with Fox News anchor Neil Cavuto that the COVID-19 vaccination does not provide “overly good” protection against infection.

During the interview, Fauci shared that he is now “fully recovered” and “essentially back to normal” after tested positive for Covid-19.

It can be recalled, that fully vaxxed and double boosted Fauci tested positive for Covid on June 14 after he attended a class reunion. He experienced mild symptoms and went into isolation.

Early this month, Fauci confirmed that he is experiencing a “COVID rebound” after taking Pfizer’s Paxlovid, the so-called silver bullet that Biden wasted billions in taxpayer dollars to support.

“What happened is I was initially infected, and given my age, being a risk person at my age, I took Paxlovid. And it successfully diminished the symptoms pretty effectively. And then when I finished the course, I tested myself. On a Monday I was negative. Tuesday negative. Wednesday negative. But then on Thursday, it reverted back to positive,” Fauci answered when asked by Cavuto if there was a flare-up after the flare-up.

“So simultaneously with that, literally within 12 hours, I started to get a return of symptoms with fever, with aches, with some little bit of a cough, not very bad. So I went back on Paxlovid for another five days, [and] that cleared things up very well. And now I’ve been negative for multiple days since then, so I’m doing very well, thanks,” Fauci added.

Cavuto then went on and asked Fauci, “Let me ask you about this because when people heard, oh my gosh, this happened to Dr. Anthony Fauci, everyone knows someone who’s gotten this again and sometimes again after that, and they’re beginning to wonder about the regimen for treating it, whether you get two vaccination shots, whether you get a booster, another booster, they just don’t know. What do you tell them?”

Fauci then admitted that Covid vaccines don’t protect “overly well” against infection and argued that vaccines protect “quite well” against severe diseases that lead to hospitalization and death.

Here is Fauci’s response:

“There’s no doubt that the vaccines themselves, particularly vaccine plus a booster at the appropriate time, when you become eligible for a booster, for more than one booster, if you’re over 50 years old, you get eligibility for two boosters. One of the things that’s clear from the data [is] that even though vaccines, because of the high degree of transmissibility of this virus, don’t protect overly well, as it were, against infection. They protect quite well against severe disease(s) leading to hospitalization and death. And I believe that’s the reason, Neil, why at my age, being vaccinated and boosted, even though it didn’t protect me against infection, I feel confident that it made a major role in protecting me from progressing to severe disease, and that’s very likely why I had a relatively mild [symptoms]. So my message to people who seem confused because people who are vaccinated get infected, the answer is, if you weren’t vaccinated, the likelihood you would have [a] more severe course than you did have when you were vaccinated.”

On Tuesday, Dr. Fauci said we can’t just put the Covid pandemic behind us.

“Everybody wants to put this pandemic behind us, and feel and hope that it doesn’t exist. It does,” Fauci said.

It’s going to be face masks, Covid vaccines and mandates for the foreseeable future.
