Country Music Songwriter Jeffrey Steele Releases New Song ‘Afghanistan’ After Watching Biden’s Disastrous Pull-Out from the Country

Songwriter Jeffrey Steele, who has written songs for decades for some of the biggest names in music, released a song this past week called ‘Afghanistan’ inspired by Biden’s deadly and disasterous departure from that country.

Breitbart reports:

Country music songwriter Jeffrey Steele’s career spans more than three decades and encompasses numerous hit singles, most notably “What Hurts the Most,” and “These Days” for Rascal Flatts. He has written for some of Nashville’s biggest names, including Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, and Billy Ray Cyrus.

Now, Steele has released a single simply called “Afghanistan,” a song inspired by the Biden administration’s disastrous pull out that left thousands of American civilians and allies stranded behind enemy lines and led to the deaths of 13 U.S. service members.

Here are some of the lyrics from the song:

My arms won’t move
my legs are numb
I know I’m here
I can feel the heat
the sound of bullets rushing by me
on and on they come
I’m so far from home everyone I know is gone

And here I am
a broken bleeding man
in between a sky of angels and an ancient land
in and out of life and death
my soul hangs on the wind
on a helicopter in Afghanistan
