On July 29, Land Rover announced a limited run of 220 Trophy Edition Defenders to be sold exclusively in the U.S.
This adventure-ready 4×4 pays homage to Land Rover’s heritage of expedition-focused builds. And it’s decked out with all the bells and whistles, too. Land Rover bases the Trophy Edition Defender on its 2022 Defender 110 X-Dynamic SE. The package includes functional features like:
Tow hitch receiver
Air Suspension Pack
Cold Climate Pack
11.4-inch touchscreen
Off-road Pack (with ability to add Advanced Off-road Capability Pack)

Trophy Edition Defender: Eyecatching, Off-Road Capable
For drivers looking to get their Defender dirty, the Trophy Edition comes with additional off-road goodies. From the expedition roof rack, front undershield, deployable ladder, winch installation kit, mud flaps, and rubber mats, the Trophy Edition Defender comes decked top to bottom, inside and out for off-pavement adventure.
The onboard air compressor even ensures that you can air down your tires for the roughest terrain.
The custom yellow and black wrap, inspired by the Defender Works V8 Trophy, will turn heads on- and off-road. Combined with the Defender’s Extended Black Exterior Pack, the Trophy Edition looks the part.
Land Rover Off-Road ‘Trophy Competition’
Uniquely, Land Rover will offer each of the 220 owners an opportunity to participate in a one-day, off-road adventure. Owners will receive a two-person entry into the Land Rover U.S. Trophy Competition held at Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, starting on October 11, 2021.
Up to 90 teams — first come, first served — will tackle a number of on- and off-road challenges as well as face team-building obstacles. The event also includes one-on-one coaching, giving drivers the opportunity to hone their driving skills behind the wheel of their Defender before toeing the line.
The overall winning team will earn a slot at the 2022 Land Rover Trophy Competition. This competition will take place at Eastnor Castle in the U.K., the original home of Land Rover’s testing and development.
The Defender Trophy Edition, which will be available to purchase in August, comes with a starting price of $90,000 and can be purchased at specific Land Rover retailers in the U.S.
