SHOT Show 2023 is in full swing and Thunder Beast Arms brought their newest BFC 50 BMG suppressor. Not one to shy away from a challenge, the Thunder Beast BFC boasts multiple configurations in order to optimize the suppressor for noise and recoil reduction. I had a chance to look over this new massive suppressor at this year’s SHOT Show and here’s what I found.
[SHOT 2023] Thunder Beast Arms BFC 50 BMG Suppressor
Multiple Accuracy International ELR rifles were on display in the Thunder Beast Arms booth showcasing the BFC in various configurations.
Three different mounts were made in order to accommodate various 50bmg thread pitches including 7/8-14, 1-14, and M24x1 for the above-pictured Accuracy International pattern rifles. Each muzzle device features a tapered shoulder and locking collar.
A traditional lock / unlock collar is located at the rear of the BFC which makes mounting the can easy.
What makes the BFC unique is the modular assembly. This allows the shooter to configure the suppressor for optimal suppression or recoil mitigation.
The BFC is an all-titanium suppressor weighing in at 4.6 lbs with a length of 22 inches in the long configuration. With the modular section removed the suppressor weighs 3.2 lbs and is 15.75 inches long.
Thunder Beast Arms is still in the midst of testing the BFC (as you can see in the above video shown by Thunder Beast). They indicated the suppressor will be launched later this summer and will have an MSRP somewhere north of $5,000. Thank you to the Thunder Beast reps at Shot Show 2023 for walking me through their newest addition to their long-range lineup.
