Photo Of The Day: The Mauritanian Armed Forces are the military forces of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania. The Mauritanian Armed Forces are composed of the Army, Navy, Air Force, and National Gendarmerie, and they are responsible for defending Mauritania’s borders and protecting its people. Here we see them conducting Dynamic Shooting Drills, in a pretty cool picture with their red berets. In terms of small arms, they use a mixture of AK-47, AKM and the Chinese Type 56.
Mauritanian Soldiers gather around to for block of instruction before firing on the range during Flintlock in Daboya, Ghana, March 4, 2023. Flintlock is U.S. Africa Command’s premier and largest annual special operations exercise that strengthens key partner nations throughout Africa, in partnership with other international special operations forces.
I could be wrong, but this looks like quite a worn Glock. If you know better, let everyone know in the comments below.
