POTD: High Angle Shooting Training at Arta Beach, Djibouti

Top of the day and welcome to our Photo Of The Day! It’s fantastic to see the M110 SASS in the wild, on a tripod. You see a U.S. Army National Guard soldier, assigned to Task Force Wolfhound, East Africa Response Force (EARF), conducting high angle shooting training at Arta Beach, Djibouti, in 2022.

If, or when, the sniping fails, it’s time for the Machine Guns.

Apart from being used as a shooting range, Arta Beach is a popular tourist destination located in the country of Djibouti in East Africa. The beach is known for its pristine white sand, crystal clear waters, and breathtaking views of the Red Sea. It is a popular spot for swimming, sunbathing, and snorkeling. The area around Arta Beach is also home to several restaurants and cafes, offering visitors a chance to enjoy local cuisine and refreshments.
