How far is it? The new Leica Geovid Pro 42 Rangefinding Binocular has the answer.

If you’re looking for a premium rangefinding binocular, the new Leica Geovid Pro 42 may be the answer. Many years ago I bought myself one of the earlier models of the Leica Geovid 8×42, and it’s been a great companion with excellent optical performance – the quality still amazes me. My model was bought long before companies started to incorporate any electronics more advanced than just the laser range finder, but the new Geovid Pro series is of course built from the ground up with all this integrated. Now you get anything from Bluetooth connectivity with the new Leica Ballistics App, to onboard atmospheric sensors and advanced apps like Applied Ballistics, with GPS mapping integration through BaseMap and Google Maps. The Geovid Pro 8×42 sells for $3,299, and the slightly larger Geovid Pro 10×42 for $3,299.

Leica Geovid Pro 42 Rangefinding Binocular

Leica adds to its family of premium Geovid Pro rangefinders by launching new flagship model with 42mm objective lens

Following the launch of the hugely successful Geovid Pro 32 compact rangefinding binocular, Leica Sport Optics is proud to unveil the newest member of the Geovid Pro family, its flagship Geovid Pro 42. This light gathering beast of a unit offers a level of optical performance previously known only from specialty binoculars, without rangefinding capabilities.

The Geovid Pro 42 is designed for hunters and shooters that require unmatched low light performance combined with a powerful laser rangefinder, best-in-class field of view, world-leading Applied Ballistics® software and Leica ProTrack. The unique patented Perger-Porro optical system delivers incomparable light transmission, resolution, contrast and a perfectly sharp edge-to-edge image through a 42mm objective lens, sucking every last lightwave of lux from the day.

Mirroring its compact Geovid Pro 32 sibling, the Geovid Pro 42 rangefinding binoculars were developed ground up, utilizing enhanced Bluetooth connectivity with the new Leica Ballistics App. With on-board atmospheric sensors combined with Applied Ballistics® it also features GPS mapping integration through BaseMap and Google Maps. Leica ProTrack is a feature unique to the Geovid Pro family and takes in-field tracking, surveying and game recovery to a completely new level of precision.

The Geovid Pro family of premium sport optics grows in strength with this ‘Nimitz-class’ rangefinding binocular of unequalled power and performance offering a choice of premium optics to Leica customers like ever before.
