FAB Defense have added to their line of AR-15 accessories a new adjustable stock called GL-CORE Impact. What sets the new stock apart from the rest of the GL-CORE family of stocks is the shock-absorbing feature. Unlike their GL-Shock stocks, the GL-CORE Impact has an exposed and adjustable spring of the recoil-reducing mechanism.

Apparently, the way the shock absorbing mechanism works is when the gun is fired, the buffer tube recoils back inside the stock pushing the hinged part to which the front end of the spring assembly is attached rearward, which compresses the spring. As mentioned above, the recoil absorbing mechanism of the new GL-CORE Impact stock is adjustable. It can be set to one of the three positions which I assume is done by hooking the spring assembly to one of the three holes on the hinged part. We’ll make sure to stop by the FAB Defense booth at SHOT Show 2023 and take a closer look at the design of this stock.
FAB Defense GL-CORE Impact stock is made of fiberglass-reinforced polymer and is available in Black, FDE or OD Green color options. The stock can be fitted to both mil-spec and commercial AR-15 buffer tubes thanks to the adapters it comes with. This stock also features a rubber butt pad with an angled toe, ambidextrous QD sling swivel sockets, and inversed positioning lever that prevents accidental unlocking.
FAB Defense GL-CORE Impact stock can be currently found on Zahal’s website for $105. The price is identical for all color options. Optionally, you can order it with an adjustable three-position cheek riser for an additional $18 and a QD sling swivel for $12.
