TFB is back with our Photo Of The Day. Every day we bring you a selection of photo highlights, and today’s selection is quite entertaining. These are from the U.S. Marine Corps Martial Arts Program, which is a combat system developed to combine various martial arts, tactics, and techniques into one comprehensive fighting system. The program was created to provide Marines with the skills necessary to survive in close-quarters combat and other dangerous situations.
U.S. Marine Corps Martial Arts Program includes techniques from various martial arts styles such as Karate, Judo, Tae Kwon Do, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, and boxing, among others. In addition to hand-to-hand combat, the program also includes training with weapons such as bayonets, knives, and improvised weapons.
Here we have recruits with Papa Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, practicing Marine Corps Martial Arts techniques aboard Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, S.C., Dec. 14, 2022.
The purpose of the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program is to execute unarmed and armed techniques to use lethal and non-lethal force across a spectrum of violence.
Yup! The comments section is open, but please be kind.
