Today at SHOT Show 2023’s Industry Day at the Range, we got hands-on trigger time with a few New Glock Products. Team Glock’s Shane Coley ran us through the new G20 Gen5 MOS, along with their new G47. Furthermore, we got to try out Glock’s new Performance trigger, a flat faced trigger that currently fits all Gen 5 9mm’s except the G43/48 slim frames.
[SHOT 2023] Hands on with Glock’s new G20 Gen5 MOS, G47, and The Glock Performance Trigger
First up, Shane burned the house down with Glock’s new G20 Gen 5 MOS. The MOS capability continues to expand across Glock’s line of pistols, including the 20 and 21. The 10mm cartridge can make good use of the ability to mount an optic, still delivering decent power at mid-range distances that might be easier to hit with a dot than irons. I’ve used a gen2 G20 for over a decade with thousands of rounds through it, yet I hadn’t had a chance yet to try out the Gen5 G20’s. After shooting the Gen5 MOS model, I think it might be time for an upgrade…

Next up was Glock’s G47 MOS, both with and without the new Glock Performance Trigger. The G47 MOS was really nice to shoot, but the performance trigger equipped one felt just about as nice as I’ve been able to tune Glock triggers to be in the past. The flatter trigger face had a very nice feel, and the pull, break and reset were all noticeably nicer on the Performance Trigger equipped pistol.
