POTD: The Finnish 8.6 Sniper Rifle 2000 (Sako TRG-42)

TFB has been running our Photo Of The Day for years, with growing archives of interesting firearm and soldier pictures. This is the fourth in a series of articles TFB is doing on some of the firearms used by the Finnish Army. Today we’re looking at the 8.6 SNIPER RIFLE 2000 which is of course chambered in .338 Lapua Magnum (8.6 x 70 mm). Most people probably know it better as the Sako TRG-42 sniper rifle.

Sniper Rifle 2000 is a single-shot rifle with magazine. This rifle manufactured by the Finnish company Sako is used against persons, vehicles, weapon systems, and command and control systems.
