POTD: High Mobility Artillery Rocket System in Guam

Photo Of The Day: Every day, all year round we at TFB publish at least one photo together with an explanation about what’s going on. We’ve been doing this for a very long time, almost 10 years. Below you can see a High Mobility Artillery Rocket System vehicle unloading from its transport aircraft at the Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The HIMARS were participating in a training event with soldiers assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division. I don’t know what the HIMARS are doing in Guam, but the system has played a vital role in Ukraine.

U.S. Army Soldiers assigned to Alpha Company, 2nd Battalion, 27th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division out of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, prepare for the link-up with 1st Battalion, 94th Field Artillery Regiment Hight Mobility Artillery Rocket System vehicles on Andersen Air Force Base, Guam, Sept. 26, 2022. The training exercise between the two units demonstrates Alpha Company’s ability to clear and secure a space for the HIMARS to conduct its firing missions.
