Joe Biden on Monday was heckled by a Parkland shooting victim’s father as he delivered remarks on the new gun control law at the White House.
“Sit down! You’ll hear what I have to say!” Biden said.
According to the New York Post, the heckler, Manuel Oliver, is now a gun control advocate after losing his 17-year-old son Joaquin in the 2018 school shooting in Parkland.
Manuel Oliver shouted something unintelligible due to a poor audio feed to which Biden responded, “We have one. Let me finish my comments,” Biden said to Manuel Oliver.
“Let him talk. Let him talk,” said Biden.
Biden continued, “Make no mistake about it, this legislation is real progress, but more has to be done.”
Manuel Oliver was escorted off the South Lawn of the White House.
