The MidwayUSA Foundation is continuing its mission to further the efforts of local shooting ranges to support and grow youth sports shooting activities. These cash range development grants are provided to allow range facilities to expand capacity, which allows more young shooters to have a place to practice, and also helps give local ranges a place to host large competitive events.

MidwayUSA Foundation Provides Grants to Promote Youth Shooting Sports
A grand total of $750,000 in cash grants was provided by the MidwayUSA Foundation to 47 different recipients. According to MidwayUSA, these grant funds will add an estimated 1,581 additional youth shooting events across the country. The amount of money and the number of recipients have increased since the 2021 cycle and will complement the endowments they also offer to the 2,800 some odd youth shooting sports teams and 70 national and local state shooting sports organizations.
Ed White, Founder of Metal Madness Shooting Sports Association, is one of this year’s Range Development Grant recipients. “I am proud to announce that with the help of MidwayUSA Foundation we will be adding a SASP 8 1/2 lane range this summer. We will begin construction on the range after the SASP Nationals in July and I have been working with Rick Leach, National Director of SASP, to put together a SASP regional match along with some invitational matches this fall and next spring.
