Colt unveiled a new .22LR target variant of the King Cobra at NRAAM 2022. Available in both 6″ and 4″ barrel configurations, the new King Cobra Target is where rimfire meets class. I had a chance to sit down with Colt at NRAAM 2022 to go over the details of the new King Cobra.

[NRAAM 2022] Colt’s New King Cobra Target .22LR Revolver
Colt’s product catalog had this to say about the new King Cobra:
The King is back! Following the successful introduction of the Colt Cobra revolver in 2017, and marking Colt’s re-entry into the category they once dominated, snake number two has arrived. Sporting a heavy-duty frame, 4.25-inch barrel, and brushed stainless steel construction, the King Cobra secures a new place in the legendary heritage that makes Colt double-action revolvers some of the hottest collectible firearms today.
The King Cobra Target uses rubber texturized overmolded grips. The texture provides a very positive and secure grip for precision shots.
Both the 4.5″ (pictured here) and 6″ models come with a 10-round capacity. An oversized extractor sticks out just further than previous models to accommodate the rimfire cartridge.
The King Cobra comes with a fiber optic front sight and adjustable rear sight. Both models will be released in the above-shown polished stainless steel finish. Colt is currently in the midst of production but indicated these new King Cobras will be shipping to distributors in early Q3. MSRP on both the 4.5″ and 6″ models is $999.
