Superstar quarterback Tom Brady on Tuesday officially announced his retirement in a series of social media posts.
Brady, 44, retired from the NFL after 22 seasons and 7 Super Bowl titles with the Patriots and Buccaneers.
“This is difficult for me to write but here it goes: I am not going to make that competitive commitment anymore,” he said. “I have loved my NFL career, and now it is time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.”
“I feel like the luckiest person in the world,” Tom Brady said of his 22-year career in the NFL.
Tom Brady said he plans to take it ‘day by day’ and wants to spend time giving to others.
Brady thanked all of the people who helped him along the way: coaches, mentors, family, staffers, fans and more.
