Democrat Eric Adams on Tuesday night won New York City’s mayoral race, Associated Press reported.
61-year-old Adams, a former NYPD captain, defeated Republican Curtis Sliwa.
Adams was a shoo-in after he won the Democrat primary that was marred by glitches.
Adams will take office on January 1.
