Chicago has upped its battle with police officers over the mandated COVID vaccine, issuing a statement Sunday night threatening the retirement benefits of officers who opt to retire from the force rather than submit to Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s COVID vaccine mandate and reporting system.

A copy of the notice was reported by WMAQ-TV reporter Mary Ann Ahern who posted a copy to Twitter:

The statement reads:

“TO BE READ AT ALL ROLL CALLS FOR SEVEN (7) CONSECUTIVE DAYS. This AMC message informs Department members of the consequences of disobeying a direct order to comply with the City of Chicago’s Vaccination Policy issued 8 October 2021 and being the subject of the resulting disciplinary investigation. A Department member, civilian or sworn, who disobeys a direct order by a supervisor to comply with the City of Chicago’s Vaccination Policy issued 8 October 2021 will become the subject of a disciplinary investigation that could result in a penalty up to and including separation from the Chicago Police Department. Furthermore, sworn members who retire while under a disciplinary investigation may be denied retirement credentials…”

Last week a Cook County judge barred the president of the Chicago Fraternal Order of Police John Catanzara from speaking out against Chicago’s COVID vaccine mandate and vaccine status reporting portal.

The Chicago Tribune reported Monday on the FOP’s response to Sunday’s threatening statement by police brass(excerpt):

The FOP, in response, sent a document to its members that provides language officers can use should they be asked to go to Internal Affairs and given a direct order to report their vaccination status through the city portal, according to multiple law enforcement sources.

“Complying with this INVALID order and the violation of MY Bargaining, Constitutional and Civil Rights has furthermore caused me severe anxiety while challenging both my religious and moral beliefs. I am in fact complying with this because I am being forced to do so under complete duress and threats of termination,” the document reads.

The union told members who receive a direct order from a supervisor to have that supervisor add their name to the FOP-provided document and advised members to keep a copy for themselves and send another to the union. According to a law enforcement source, the union also is urging members to turn on their body cameras and record the encounters, a call Chicago police union president John Catanzara has made before.

Lightfoot ordered back in August that all city employees must be vaccinated by October 15. The deadline was later modified, after objections by the police union, to the end of the year but with a proviso that unvaccinated workers submit to twice-weekly testing at their own expense. All workers must report their vaccine status through an online portal starting this Friday or face being put on no-pay status.

Reuters reported:

President Joe Biden will meet with Pope Francis on Oct. 29 before attending a two-day summit of G20 leaders in Rome where he hopes to reach agreement on a Global Minimum Tax of 15%, White House officials said on Thursday.

On the second foreign trip of his presidency, Biden will then attend the U.N. climate conference known as COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland, from Nov. 1-2 and announce “key actions” on the conference’s top themes, including goals for fighting climate change and forest and land use, one White House official told Reuters.

Biden’s visit with the pope comes as some Roman Catholic bishops in the United States have sought to admonish Biden for his support of abortion rights. Biden is a Catholic who attends church regularly. His wife, Jill Biden, will also attend the meeting with Pope Francis.

“They will discuss working together on efforts grounded in respect for fundamental human dignity, including ending the COVID-19 pandemic, tackling the climate crisis, and caring for the poor,” White House spokesperson Jen Psaki said in a statement about the meeting.

A shocking new video has surfaced online that shows the true effects of ridiculous leftist “police reform” policies that have replaced uniformed officers with ‘civilian traffic enforcement agents’ in some of the most crime-ridden democrat cities across the country.

In this perfect example that comes out of New York City, three civilian “traffic enforcement agents” can be seen speaking with a driver who was recently involved in an accident. The driver may have been aware that these people – even though they were wearing uniforms that clearly displayed their affiliation with the NYPD – were not police and in effect had no real authority to do anything.

Almost immediately, the driver and his passenger hop out of the vehicle and begin to beat up the 3 helpless agents. They fight off all three before hopping back in the car and driving away.  

The feeble traffic enforcement agents never stood a chance.

According to Newsweek (emphasis ours):

“A spokesperson for the NYPD told Newsweek that the incident occurred on Thursday at approximately 6:30 p.m., when NYPD officers received reports of an assault. According to police, the incident happened near the Lincoln Tunnel, on West 40 Street and 11 Avenue.

When NYPD officers arrived on the scene, they found “three on-duty Traffic Enforcement Agents” who reported that they were assaulted by a 24-year-old male and a 17-year-old male.

The NYPD spokesperson told Newsweek that a preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle, identified as a black Hyundai, was reportedly involved in a motor vehicle collision and the agents attempted to stop the driver.”

The assault was called into the police and officers were able to locate the vehicle a short while afterward. The two suspects were arrested and have charges pending against them. Their names were not released by the NYPD.

Just a few weeks back, the Attorney General of New York – Letitia James – instructed the NYPD to stop conducting traffic stops and instead leave the job to the newly hired civilian traffic agents.

It goes without being said that customarily traffic stops would be left up to the highly trained police officers who are well equipped to handle a violent encounter such as this one, but thanks to the radical ‘defund the police’ movement, civilian workers are replacing full-fledged officers for these types of calls in some of the largest cities in America.

This will be the first of many incidents where somebody violently assaults one of these unequipped civilians. They should not be doing a police officer’s job, and – even when conducting routine traffic stops – are being put in serious danger

The Daily Mail reported on Portland Antifa:

At least 100 self-proclaimed anarchists tore through Portland, setting dumpsters aflame, smashing windows and causing $500,000 in damage, but police stood idle because of a new state law that restricts how law enforcement can respond to riots.

The city just reached the ‘grim’ milestone of 1,000 shootings through 2021 in what has been a year of destructive protests, violent street clashes and a police staffing crisis.

Now police say a recently passed law ties their hands even further as it prohibits police from using crowd control techniques like pepper spray or tear gas. Instead, law enforcement agencies are told to rely on follow-up investigations to hold rioters accountable.

Portland’s latest round of violence broke out after a memorial for Sean Kealiher, an Antifa activist who was struck and killed by an SUV in October 2019 after getting in a fight with the driver at a bar earlier that night.

Police have not made any arrests in connection to Kealiher’s death, though his mother Laura believes they have identified the culprits, according to the Oregonian/Oregon Live. She organized last Tuesday’s protest on Twitter, writing that it was ‘not a peaceful event’ and dubbing it ‘a night of rage and anger.’

The rationale for the destruction was to celebrate the life of a dead Antifa member, Sean Kealiher, pictured below as a gentle soul with his cat.

Laura Kealiher who has a Twitter account with a title ‘ACAB’ (All Cops Are Bastards) called for the get-together in memory of the Antifa youth.  It was advertised as not family-friendly.

Kealiher also referred to this as a night of rage and anger.

After half a million in destruction, the riot was over.  Another day, another Antifa riot in Portland.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Monday was asked about China’s hypersonic nuclear-capable missile that circled the globe at low-orbit.

US Intelligence and US Military officials were left stunned.

“We have no idea how they did this,” a source told the Financial Times.

According to experts, China’s space nukes could evade the US’s missile defense systems.

Psaki brushed off China’s expanding nuclear missile silo field and ability to execute a nuclear strike without warning as “stiff competition.”

“I’m not going to comment on the specific report…We’ve made clear our concerns about the military capabilities that the PRC continues to pursue and we’ve been consistent in our approach with China. We welcome stiff competition, but we do not want that competition to veer into conflict and that is certainly what we conveyed privately as well,” Psaki told AP reporter Alexandra Jaffe.

Joe Biden is completely sold out to China which is why his administration calls the CCP’s nuclear flex “stiff competition.”

So they came out and told us, ‘Well, we can retrain you for a different position, but there’s only a few positions and you’re going to have to move across the state.’ Obviously wouldn’t be to the salary that we have. At twenty-two years I’m maxed out with regards to pay. So, this is the best I’ll make the rest of my career. So, for me to take a lesser position in regards to pat would be very detrimental to my family. These are the types of actions they were doing. They were not very open or clear what they wanted to do, how they wanted to do it. People had very good questions. In fact, our chaplain, our chaplain with the chaplaincy foundation here, he’s even being fired. This is a gentleman that his job is to push the chaplaincy and they’re not even going to accept his exemption.
