The Department of Justice has requested that the Supreme Court block the Texas ‘Heartbeat Act,’ even though the high court opted not to intervene just last month.
The Texas law prohibits abortions after a fetal heartbeat is detected, which is typically around six weeks.
Breitbart News reports, “the Department of Justice (DOJ) filed suit against Texas days after the law took effect on September 1, when the Supreme Court of the United States, in a 5-4 decision, denied abortion providers’ emergency application to block the law from going into effect while legal challenges proceed in lower courts.”
“In his filing, Acting Solicitor General Brian Fletcher argued that Texas’s law is ‘clearly unconstitutional’ and defies Supreme Court precedent. Fletcher further argued that failure to ban the law would ‘perpetuate the ongoing irreparable injury to the thousands of Texas women who are being denied their constitutional rights.’”
The Texas law was briefly suspended and reinstated earlier this month when U.S. District Judge Robert Pitman of the Western District of Texas ruled that the enforcement should be temporarily halted as litigation plays out.
Pitman’s ruling was successfully challenged by the state of Texas in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, who ruled that the law may be enforced through the court challenges.
On Monday, the DOJ filed a request to lift the Fifth Circuit’s stay.

Michigan continues to play politics while Americans want fair and free elections and the truth about the 2020 Election.
Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer, who oversaw the corrupted election of 2020, vetoed two bills that would have made elections in Michigan more secure and accurate.
Democratic Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer vetoed two Republican-backed election bills, arguing they “fail to advance” secure elections.
“How do we provide safe and secure elections in our state if the governor can’t even agree that we should be ensuring dead people aren’t on our voting rolls?” a sponsor of one the bills, Republican state Sen. Michael MacDonald, said in a statement following Whitmer’s vetoes on Friday.
One of the vetoed bills would have revised the administrative process for removing dead people from voter lists and required more frequent checks during the 45-day period before an election.
The bill passed through the state Senate and House with bipartisan support, and some clerks said the change would be welcomed.
Ingham County Clerk Barb Byrum told the Detroit Free Press she had testified in favor of the change and said Friday she still supports the concept but had not discussed the veto with Whitmer…
…The other vetoed bill would have required the state elections board to canvass signatures for an initiative petition within 100 days of the filing. It currently must make a determination no more than 100 days before the election in which the proposal would appear on the ballot.
These actions overall are very disappointing and disgusting to Americans who saw the mess that took place in Michigan during the 2020 Election. Governor Whitmer oversaw COVID in the state and the 2020 Election, two major fails for freedom in the state.
Thousands of votes for Joe Biden only were processed after Election Day that gave the state of Michigan to Joe Biden. This state had clear election fraud and violations but the Republicans in the state were unfortunately in on it too. They issued a statement after the election that looked like it was written by George Soros himself.
These minuscule actions by the Republicans vetoed by Whitmer are an effort toby the Republicans to show to their constituents that they are doing something about the fraudulent 2020 Election but they fail. Washington news station KREM-TV is under investigation after a pornographic clip aired for about ten seconds behind a meteorologist.
The incident took place last Sunday evening at 6 p.m. as the station was giving the weather forecast.
“The Spokane Police Department’s special victims unit is investigating how the image appeared and where it came from. Detectives have yet to determine if the incident was criminal, said Julie Humphreys, a spokesperson for the department. Police said KREM personnel are cooperating with the investigation,” the Spokesman-Review in Spokane reported.
Anne Bentley, vice president and chief communications officer at TEGNA, KREM 2’s parent company, said in a statement to the Spokesman-Review that they had apologized to viewers during their 11 p.m. newscast.
“We apologized to our viewers last night during our 11 p.m. newscast – Those of us here at KREM 2 want to apologize for something that happened in our 6 p.m. newscast tonight. An inappropriate video aired in the first part of the show. We are diligently working to make sure something like this doesn’t happen again,” Bentley wrote on behalf of KREM.
The station may face fines from the Federal Communications Commission that bans “indecent programming from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. when there is a reasonable risk that children may be in the audience.”
A similar incident happened at a news station in Roanoke, Virginia in 2012. The station was ultimately fined $325,000 — which was the harshest punishment ever handed down for a single incident.

New York City mayoral candidate Eric Adams supports giving voting rights to non-citizens.
There are nearly a million non-US citizens living in the city.
Speaking to the press this week, Adams explained that he supports a City Council agenda item that would give anyone with green cards, visas, or work authorization voting rights. He also discussed his support for making sure that the Big Apple remains a “sanctuary city.”
“We need to make sure we give undocumented New Yorkers support they need to allow families to not live in the shadows of [the] American dream,” Adams said.
Under the city council effort, foreign nationals would only need to live in the city for 30 days to qualify to vote for mayor, comptroller, public advocate borough presidents, council members, and changes to city policy.
Breitbart News reports that “Democrats on the New York City Council attempted to pass the plan last year, seeking to give huge electoral power to the city’s 3.1 million foreign-born population — making up almost 40 percent of the total city population.”

A new paper in the European Journal of Epidemiology that analyzed 168 countries and 2,947 US counties found that higher vaccination rates were not associated with fewer COVID-19 cases.
On Friday, the San Francisco Chronicle published an article noting that California has some of the lowest COVID-19 case rates in the US, even though the Golden State’s vaccination rate lags many states that are currently struggling with the delta variant.
“One clear example is the New England states of Vermont and Maine,” the Chronicle reported. “Relatively shielded from the worst of the nation’s previous surges, they have struggled against the delta variant, which has sent their case rates soaring.”
In fact, Vermont has the highest vaccination rate in the country. Among those 65 years and older, 99.9 percent are fully vaccinated, and 74 percent of those 18-64 are fully vaccinated, according to data from the Mayo Clinic.
Yet, as the Chronicle points out, despite its high vaccination rate, Vermont recently set its single-day case record for the entire pandemic. And as of Oct. 1, Vermont’s seven-day average case rate per 100k people was 30—triple that of the Bay Area.
California, the U.S. coronavirus hot spot early this year, in recent weeks has recorded some of the lowest case rates in the country — lower than some states that are more vaccinated.
There is widespread agreement among scientists that COVID-19 vaccines are highly effective at reducing the risk of developing severe COVID symptoms, which can result in hospitalization and death.
Their effectiveness at reducing transmission of the virus, however, remains a subject of debate, particularly since the CDC released findings in July* that show vaccinated individuals still contract the virus, transmit it, and carry just as many virus particles in their throat and nasal passages as unvaccinated individuals do when they contract the virus.
While scientists concede that the vaccines cannot stop transmission, many contend they still reduce transmission of the virus.
The findings published in the European Journal of Epidemiology help explain why US states such as Vermont and Maine are suffering massive case outbreaks despite their high vaccination rates.
“We are confident vaccination against COVID-19 reduces the chances of transmitting the virus,” Johns Hopkins epidemiologists M. Kate Grabowski and Justin Lessler argued in The Daily Beast.
Other scientists are less sure, and a new study suggests their skepticism may be warranted. The study, published last month in the European Journal of Epidemiology, a monthly peer-reviewed medical journal, examined 168 countries and 2,947 counties in the United States and concluded that higher vaccination rates are not associated with fewer COVID cases.
“At the country-level, there appears to be no discernable relationship between the percentage of the population fully vaccinated and new COVID-19 cases in the last 7 days,” the researchers concluded. “In fact, the trend line suggests a marginally positive association such that countries with a higher percentage of the population fully vaccinated have higher COVID-19 cases per 1 million people.” (emphasis added)
At the county level, the researchers said, there “also appears to be no significant signaling of COVID-19 cases decreasing with higher percentages of the population fully vaccinated.”
The findings do not suggest people shouldn’t get vaccinated. Again, there’s robust evidence showing vaccines reduce the risk of severe symptomatic COVID-19 reaction. What the research does suggest, however, is that vaccines are primarily a matter of personal health, not public health.
This is precisely what Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, a professor of medicine who studies epidemiology at Stanford, recently suggested. Bhattacharya noted that research indicates that the mRNA vaccines produced by Pfizer and Moderna offer abundant individual protection—Bhattacharya credits his own speedy recovery from COVID-19 to the vaccines—but don’t contribute to herd immunity or improve public health.

(Public health experts also point out that California has much higher levels of natural immunity than its eastern counterparts, the Chronicle reports.)
But it doesn’t explain why so many continue to maintain that the vaccines reduce transmission of the virus as well as offer protection to individuals—despite an abundance of evidence (both empirical and anecdotal) to the contrary.
If getting vaccinated is simply a matter of individual health, there is little reason for planners to exercise control over the public.
One explanation may be found in an observation from economist Ludwig von Mises.
Mises famously observed that much of the strife in the modern world is a struggle over who designs the world, authorities or individuals. As Mises put it, we can either have “the democratic process of the market, in which every individual has his share, [or] the exclusive rule of a dictatorial body.”
If getting vaccinated is simply a matter of individual health, there is little reason for “the planners” (as Mises called them) to exercise control over the public. It would be akin to requiring individuals to have cancerous tumors removed in the name of “public health”.
But if not getting vaccinated is a threat to public health, or “society,” then central planners have their reason (if not a valid justification) to exercise control over society.
Reminder: @SouthwestAir accepted $3.2 BILLION from taxpayers. That money kept its pilots employed during the pandemic. It also made @SouthwestAir the first airline to post a profit. And now, apparently, many of those pilots don’t want to help society by getting vaccinated.
In other words, evidence that shows COVID vaccination is primarily about individual health runs counter to the raison d’etre of the planners, which is to exercise their plan over society.
“What those calling themselves planners advocate is not the substitution of planned action for letting things go. It is the substitution of the planner’s own plan for the plans of his fellow-men,” Mises argued in Planned Chaos. “The planner is a potential dictator who wants to deprive all other people of the power to plan and act according to their own plans. He aims at one thing only: the exclusive absolute pre-eminence of his own plan.”
For people trying to understand why for the first time in modern history public health officials are trying to combat a respiratory virus by coercing healthy individuals to take their desired actions—and in many cases lose their job and basic freedoms if they do not—Ludwig von Mises is required reading.
There is a lot to learn from this graph, but most obviously, the COVID vax does not stop infection.
The vax provides a private benefit (protection vs. severe disease), but limited public benefit (protection vs. disease spread).
Now that former MI-6 intelligence officer Christopher Steele has resurfaced in a ridiculous interview with George Stephanopoulos, I thought it would be useful to re-post a piece I did providing a summary of the Dossier. Steele’s Dossier is a sloppy fabrication. Read the following and decide for yourself.
The revelations following the release of the FISA application on Saturday, 21 July 2016, requires an update to a piece I wrote last December on the Steele Dossier, which was written to create the narrative that Donald Trump was under the thumb of the Russians. There now is no doubt that FBI and DOJ officials were collaborating with the Intelligence Community, under the direction of Jim Clapper, in misleading members of Congress and feeding the media about alleged collusion between Donald Trump’s campaign and the Russians. At least we now know for certain that the FISA judges were informed that the information came from a source hired by the Democrats to go after Donald Trump. How those judges could acquiesce to such blatant partisan bullshit is grist for another day.
We already knew, thanks to Washington Post reporting in October, that the dossier was commissioned by Clinton attorneys and compiled and prepared by a retired foreign intelligence officer, Christopher Steele:
Marc Elias, a lawyer representing the Clinton campaign and the DNC, retained Fusion GPS, a Washington, D.C., firm, to conduct the research. Fusion GPS hired dossier author Christopher Steele, a former British intelligence officer with ties to the FBI and the U.S. intelligence community.
Elias and his law firm, Seattle-based Perkins Coie, retained the firm in April 2016 on behalf of the Clinton campaign and the DNC. Before that agreement, Fusion GPS’ research into Trump was funded by a still unknown Republican client during the GOP primary.
The Clinton campaign and the DNC, through the law firm, continued to fund Fusion GPS’ research through the end of October 2016, days before Election Day.
And, as I noted in my previous piece, we also know that the wife of a senior DOJ official, with ties to the CIA, was working with Fusion GPS on Russian matters related to Trump during this same time frame.
I think it is important for everyone to take a look at the actual dossier, which is summarized by the date of each report (see below). There are two salient points deserving your focus:
Hillary Clinton’s law firm ended the contract with Fusion GPS in October 2016. So who commissioned/paid for the 16th report in the dossier that is dated 13 December?
CIA, DNI and FBI were presenting information contained in at least 9 of the reports in the “dossier” (between 20 June and 14 September) to key members of Congress without disclosing that the Clinton Campaign was the actual source of this information.
This is a very important point now that we know that FBI Agent Strzok, who was in regular contact with the CIA and handled counter intelligence operations, was a likely source, along with John Brennan, for the breathless media reports that fed the meme of Russian/Trump collusion.
One of the first articles pushing the Russians “are coming” propaganda was courtesy of the Washington Post’s Dana Priest, Ellen Nakashima and Tom Hamburger on 5 September 2016, makes it clear that the Russian covert influence “investigation” was under the control and direction of Jim Clapper. They reported:
U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies are investigating what they see as a broad covert Russian operation in the United States to sow public distrust in the upcoming presidential election and in U.S. political institutions, intelligence and congressional officials said. . . .
The effort to better understand Russia’s covert influence operations is being coordinated by James R. Clapper Jr., the director of national intelligence. . . .
“We’ve seen an unprecedented intrusion and an attempt to influence or disrupt our political process,” said Rep. Adam B. Schiff (Calif.), the ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, speaking about the DNC hack and the WikiLeaks release on the eve of the Democratic convention. The disclosures, which included a number of embarrassing internal emails, forced the resignation of DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz.
More damning is the 23 September piece from Michael Isikoff at Yahoo, who was being briefed, apparently by members of Congress and the FBI, about the substance of at least 12 of the 17 reports that comprise the Trump Dossier. It is not a mere coincidence that “intelligence officers” were briefing members of Congress, according to Isikoff, on the details of information that we now know originated with the politically suspect dossier. Specifically, the alleged activities of Carter Page. How did the CIA and the FBI know about the contents of reports that reportedly had only been given to the Clinton campaign? Isikoff’s reporting provides compelling circumstantial evidence that the CIA and the FBI were already seeing portions of the dossier in the August/September timeframe and, without disclosing the actual source, briefed this information as “intelligence” to key members of Congress. Here’s what Isikoff reported:
U.S. intelligence officials are seeking to determine whether an American businessman identified by Donald Trump as one of his foreign policy advisers has opened up private communications with senior Russian officials — including talks about the possible lifting of economic sanctions if the Republican nominee becomes president, according to multiple sources who have been briefed on the issue.
The activities of Trump adviser Carter Page, who has extensive business interests in Russia, have been discussed with senior members of Congress during recent briefings about suspected efforts by Moscow to influence the presidential election, the sources said. After one of those briefings, Senate minority leader Harry Reid wrote FBI Director James Comey, citing reports of meetings between a Trump adviser (a reference to Page) and “high ranking sanctioned individuals” in Moscow over the summer as evidence of “significant and disturbing ties” between the Trump campaign and the Kremlin that needed to be investigated by the bureau.
This is a huge story that most of the press and the American people are, for the time being, ignoring. This is not just a corruption of the political process. It is a shameful and dangerous betrayal of our system of law by intelligence operatives and law enforcement professionals.

On Thursday afternoon, September 30th, at 3:45 PM Eastern the FBI raided Jeremy Brown’s home and arrested Jeremy. The charge is trespassing. We were notified this morning by his family and an attorney.
The FBI searched his house, RV, and trailer. Then they arrested Jeremy and took him away.

The Gateway Pundit spoke with Jeremy’s girlfriend after his arrest. She told us Jeremy would later appear in Pinellas County Court. Jeremy was charged with trespassing, a misdemeanor. The judge has refused to release Jeremy Brown from jail for standing outside the US Capitol on Jan. 6.
Jeremy Brown NEVER entered the US Capitol on January 6. His crime was in reality refusing to be an FBI informant as we describe below.
The FBI sent 20 vehicles for his arrest. DHS and Pinellas County law enforcement were also present. The FBI was in Jeremy’s home for 5-and-a-half hours looking for evidence. We were told the FBI did not read Jeremy his rights.
As we reported months ago, Jeremy Brown refused to be an informant for the dirty FBI — They wanted him to be one of their plants at the Jan. 6 Trump rallies. He refused So they stormed his home at 3:45 PM on Thursday and arrested him on bogus misdemeanor charges.
Earlier today Jeremy Brown was in court. Jeremy’s girlfriend contacted The Gateway Pundit this afternoon. We were told the judge refused to grant him bail again. The judge refused him bail by a joke he posted on the front of his house. We will update as we hear more.
