Sen. Ben Sasse (R-NE) announced Friday evening he will vote against the nomination of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court. Sasse, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, was the only Republican on the committee who did not sign a letter demanding copies of probation report records on child porn cases handled by Jackson that were leaked to Democrats and the media. That had led to concern Sasse might vote Jackson out of committee.
A tie vote on the evenly split Judiciary Committee (11-11) would mean the full Senate would have to vote to bring Jackson’s nomination to the floor. A tie vote in the 50-50 Senate could be broken by Kamala Harris. Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV) announced earlier Friday he intends to vote for Jackson.
March 25, 2022 Senator Ben Sasse, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, issued the following statement regarding the upcoming vote on Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court.
“Judge Jackson is an extraordinary person with an extraordinary American story. We both love this country, but we disagree on judicial philosophy and I am sadly unable to vote for this confirmation.
“Judge Jackson has impeccable credentials and a deep knowledge of the law, but at every turn this week she not only refused to claim originalism as her judicial philosophy, she refused to claim any judicial philosophy at all. Although she explained originalism and textualism in some detail to the committee, Judge Jackson refused to embrace them or any other precise system of limits on the judicial role.
“Instead she seemed to imply, like Justice Elena Kagan, that originalism is just one of the tools judges use – not a genuine constraint on judicial power. Judge Jackson’s record makes it clear she has more tools in her toolbox.
“It’s important to study the McGahn case, one of the few times Judge Jackson was asked to decide a novel constitutional question. Instead of carefully examining the constitutional principles, rooted in the text, that should have governed that case, Judge Jackson created a new, implied constitutional right to sue; discounted separation of powers principles; and, under the guise of abstract “constitutional values,” shoehorned policy views about the presidency into her opinion. This is a pattern. In Make the Road New York and in AFL-CIO v. Trump – which Judge Jackson described as two of her most important cases – higher courts unanimously reversed Judge Jackson for exceeding her authority.
“As I made clear in our Tuesday and Wednesday exchanges, it is one thing to explain a judicial philosophy but quite another to agree to judge bound by such a system of restraint.
“Like so much of our public square, the Supreme Court confirmation process is broken and doesn’t build trust in either the Senate or the Supreme Court. Senators should have made fewer speeches, and Judge Jackson should have made her judicial philosophy clear and understandable to the American people. Unfortunately, neither of those things happened.
“I am grateful for Judge Jackson’s service and wish her and her family the best as she takes her seat on the Court, but I am unable to consent to the nomination.”

Please read this article very carefully, because it contains very important information that is going to affect you and your family. In fact, it is going to affect every man, woman, and child on the face of the planet. For the past couple of years, I have been specifically warning that a major global food crisis was coming.
In fact, in recent months I have been writing about this multiple times per week. At first, I think that a lot of people out there though that I was exaggerating, but at this point, the reality that we are heading into a major global food crisis has become undeniable. In fact, Joe Biden just told a press conference in Brussels that worldwide food shortages are “going to be real”…
President Joe Biden said that the world will experience food shortages as a result of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, and production increases were a subject of discussions at a Group of Seven meeting on Thursday.
“It’s going to be real,” Biden said at a news conference in Brussels. “The price of the sanctions is not just imposed upon Russia. It’s imposed upon an awful lot of countries as well, including European countries and our country as well.”
And Biden is definitely not alone.
If you can believe it, things are already so serious in France that the government is actually considering implementing a food voucher system…
French President Emmanuel Macron said his government is considering food vouchers to help middle and low-income families afford to eat, calling the problem a “worldwide food crisis.”
“I want to put in place a food voucher [system] to help the most modest households and the middle class facing these additional costs,” Macron said in an interview with France Bleu radio on Tuesday.
Wow.
I was floored when I read that.
People need to understand that this is not a game.
One of the biggest reasons why the outlook for the months ahead is so grim is due to the soaring cost of fertilizer. The American Farm Bureau Federation is telling us that in some cases the price of fertilizer has risen 300 percent…
Fertilizer is a necessity for farmers, allowing them to achieve the high yields needed to meet demand and keep their operations afloat. According to the American Farm Bureau Federation, fertilizer costs have risen as much as 300% in some areas — adding significant pressure to farmers’ pocketbooks.
As global energy prices continue to go higher, so will the price of fertilizer.
In 2021, Russia was the world’s top exporter of nitrogen fertilizers and the second-largest supplier of both potassic and phosphorous fertilizers, according to the U.N. Food and Agriculture Organization.
Most Americans don’t understand that when we sanction other nations such as Russia we are also sanctioning ourselves.
We have unwisely become very dependent on the rest of the world for so many things, and that puts us in a very vulnerable position.
For the foreseeable future, the price of fertilizer is going to be incredibly high. As a result, farmers all over the globe will be using less fertilizer, and this will result in reduced agricultural production.
In other words, a lot less food will be grown.
And in some instances, farmers that are still willing to pay for fertilizer are not able to get it. In fact, in certain cases that is now even happening in the United States…
Corn and soybean farmer Jon Bakehouse faces a daunting question. In years past, he’s never had to ask for what he could get or what he could apply to his crops within the usual agriculture system. But now, the situation has completely shifted.
“For the first time, we’re talking about ‘it’s simply not available, fertilizer is simply not available, some chemicals are simply not available.’ For the first time, you kind of recognize you’re standing on a three-legged stool with one of the legs starting to weaken,” Bakehouse said.
In all my years, I have never heard of a corn farmer in Iowa being unable to buy fertilizer.
But here we are.
And Bakehouse is admitting that a lack of fertilizer would really impact the amount of corn that he is able to produce this year…
“If, for instance, we were only able to get half of our fertilizer needs, it would cut into the corn yields substantially, probably at least 30%, perhaps higher depending on the year,” Bakehouse said.
That is very alarming to hear.
Sadly, there are millions upon millions of other farmers all over the world that are being faced with incredibly difficult choices right now…
The pivot can be seen in agricultural powerhouse Brazil, where some farmers are applying less fertilizer to their corn, and some federal legislators are pushing to open protected indigenous lands for the mining of potash. In Zimbabwe and Kenya, small farmers are reverting to using manure to nourish their crops. In Canada, one canola farmer has already stockpiled fertilizer for the 2023 season in anticipation of even higher prices ahead.
Meanwhile, there are other major disasters that are also threatening food production.
The new bird flu pandemic that erupted inside the United States in February continues to escalate. In fact, we just learned that more than half a million broiler chickens in Nebraska will have to be put down…
The Nebraska Department of Agriculture (NDA) announced on Tuesday that it has confirmed a case of the highly contagious bird flu in a commercial flock of 570,000 broiler chickens and that the birds will be “humanely depopulated and disposed of.”
NDA, in conjunction with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), said in a press release the highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) was confirmed in a chicken flock in Butler County, Neb.
Farmers in the Northern Cape, Western Cape and Eastern Cape Karoo are struggling to control the locust swarms that have damaged and consumed thousands of hectares of grazing land.
According to Agri SA, this is one of the biggest locust swarms in years and, with the assistance of donors and the Department of Agriculture, farmers are trying everything to save their land and food.
There is so much more that I could say about the global food crisis, but I will stop there for today.
The head of the UN World Food Program has said that this is the worst global food crisis that we have seen since World War II, and I very much agree with him.
But even though global leaders are now admitting that things are going to get really bad, most people in the western world still seem to think that everything is going to work out just fine somehow.

The Black News Channel will shut down today at 5 p.m.
The Los Angeles Times broke the news the day after an email was sent to employees that they would not be getting their payroll checks on Friday. Majority stakeholder and Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan had invested about $50 million into BNC, but audience and revenues failed to meet the company’s hefty cost structure. He decided he couldn’t keep throwing more money at the operation, which has 230 employees, mostly people of color, the Times story said.
CEO and former CNN executive Princell Hair, who joined the operation last year, sent an email to staff mid-day Friday which noted that, “Unfortunately, due to challenging market conditions and global financial pressures, we have been unable to meet our financial goals, and the timeline afforded to us has run out. It’s with a broken heart that I am letting you all know that, effective immediately, BNC will cease live production and file for bankruptcy. We are saddened and disappointed by this reality and recognize the stress that this puts on you and your families.”
As reported earlier Hunter Biden’s firm provided the capital for the firms behind the Ukrainian Biolabs.
The Gateway Pundit broke this news earlier this month.
The US State Department admitted there were dangerous US-funded Biolabs in Ukraine during senate testimony earlier this month. Then on Wednesday the Biden regime backtracked and insisted there were no US-funded Biolabs in Ukraine.
Why the sudden confusing messaging from the Biden gang? Especially when there are documents that prove the US was funding several of the Biolabs they set up in Ukraine to study potentially dangerous pathogens.
It may be because Hunter Biden’s firm Rosemont Seneca was funding the firms involved in the building of these labs in Ukraine and they felt this was not something they wanted the American people to know.InfoWars put together an excellent article with connections between Hunter Biden and the firm Metabiota, which was involved in the creation of Biolabs in Ukraine.
The Gateway Pundit identified through the Wayback Machine that Rosemont Seneca provided capital (invested in) Metabiota as noted on the firm’s website back in 2014.
It is listed as “Our Team’s Investments” on the Rosemont Senaca webpage.
We also located a number of documents from the Wayback Machine (meaning they have been since deleted off the Internet) that show the Department of Defense investing in the creation of Biolabs in Ukraine with the help of firm Black & Veatch.
Here is a sample of one of the documents located. (We’ve located nearly a dozen of these documents.)
Metabiota publicized its relationship with Black & Veach in 2018:
Today, Metabiota, the pioneer in epidemic risk modeling, announced it has been awarded a subcontract from Black & Veatch (B&V) to support the U.S. Defense Threat Reduction Agency’s (DTRA) Cooperative Biological Engagement Program (CBEP) in Iraq under the Biological Threat Reduction Integrating Contract (BTRIC). Metabiota has also partnered with B&V on DTRA’s recently awarded Cooperative Threat Reduction Integrating Contract (CTRIC) III with an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract ceiling of $970M.
The Russian media on Thursday also accused Hunter Biden of funding the Ukrainian Biolabs.
And now there is more proof that Hunter Biden funded the Ukrainian Biolabs — It comes from his own laptop!
The Daily Mail published emails from the Laptop from Hell on Friday linking Hunter Biden to the Ukrainian biolabs.
The rest of the fake news media is ignoring this.
Via The Daily Mail: In April 2014, Metabiota vice president Mary Guttieri wrote a memo to Hunter outlining how they could ‘assert Ukraine’s cultural and economic independence from Russia’. ‘Thanks so much for taking time out of your intense schedule to meet with Kathy [Dimeo, Metabiota executive] and I on Tuesday. We very much enjoyed our discussion,’ Guttieri wrote
More… Four days after Guttieri’s April 2014 email, Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi wrote to Hunter revealing that the then-Vice President’s son had pitched a ‘science project’ involving Burisma and Metabiota in Ukraine. ‘Please find few initial points to be discussed for the purposes of analyzing the potential of this as you called, ‘Science Ukraine’ project,’ Pozharskyi wrote.
There is more here.
Watch the media ignore the fact that it was Joe Biden’s son who was funding the dangerous Biolabs in Ukraine — the same Biolabs the fake news insists never existed.
Miami, Florida – Bredan Jarmal Harvey, 28, was arrested on Sunday after he attempted to sexually attack a woman shopping inside the Walmart at 3200 Northwest 79th Street.
The incident happened right inside the busy Walmart store in Miami about 9:30 pm on Sunday.
“Bredan Jarmal Harvey came up behind her, pulled up her dress and grabbed her butt. When she turned around, he pushed her to the ground. The woman screamed for help as he “ripped off her underwear while grabbing her thighs and vagina,” Miami Herald reported.
A video was captured after Harvey attempted to sexually attack a woman. The video showed shoppers rushing in to help the woman and intervened to stop the attack.
“Harvey was charged with sexual battery. His bond was set at $50,000. This isn’t Harvey’s first run-in with the law; previous arrests range from disorderly conduct and resisting arrest to grand theft and armed robbery. Harvey was out on bond for a felony arrest when the attempted assault occurred,” WFLA News reported.
A few years ago, I had the opportunity to spend a week driving the 2020 ROUSH F-150 5.11 Tactical Edition — you can read my recap of that experience here. The short version is that I gave the keys back rather begrudgingly, since the 650-horsepower Coyote V8 made it mind-bendingly fast for a full-size pickup. So, I’m glad to see that ROUSH has followed up with an updated version for the 2022 model year. I’m also glad to see it has even more horsepower on tap (assuming you spring for the optional supercharger, which you certainly should). The 2022 ROUSH F-150 offers upgraded wheels, tires, suspension, exhaust system, interior, lighting, and much more.
The new 2022 ROUSH F-150 can be ordered online as a new vehicle, delivered through ROUSH’s dealer network, and comes standard with a 3-year/36,000-mile warranty. It’s based on your choice of a 302A XLT or 502A Lariat Ford F-150 chassis, with the choice of nine exterior color options and two different ROUSH leather interior options.
Satin black graphics on the hood, windshield, and tailgate are standard; there’s also an optional body-side graphic package (pictured above). Each 2022 ROUSH F-150 comes with 20-inch Iridium Gray Satin wheels and 33-Inch General Grabber A/TX All-Terrain Tires. Unique fender flares with accent lighting accommodate for the widened footprint, and can be ordered in satin black (standard) or matched to the body color as seen above (optional). ROUSH also adds a Performance Coil-Over Suspension System for improved ride on- and off-road.
ROUSH badges are affixed to the exterior and interior, and the optional premium leather package (pictured above) includes an embroidered ROUSH logo on each headrest. A dual-tip performance exhaust system is standard, but an electronically-controlled active exhaust is available for those who don’t want to wake the neighbors when the truck fires up.
You may notice the ROUSH supercharger kit isn’t listed as an option in the build configuration menu — that’s because it’s ordered separately. However, having driven a truck with this supercharger system, I’ll attest that it makes a night-and-day difference in performance. The 2.65L R260 TVS supercharger brings power output to 705 horsepower and 635 lb-ft of torque, and it’s backed by a 3 year/36,000 mile ROUSH limited powertrain warranty when installed by a Ford dealer or other certified ASE technician.

The US Supreme Court on Friday sided with the Biden Regime and temporarily allowed the Navy to determine what to do with SEALs who sued after refusing the Covid vaccine for religious reasons.
The Supreme Court gave temporary relief to the Biden Regime as the lawsuits from the SEALs makes its way through the system.
Conservative justices Thomas, Alito and Gorsuch dissented.
The Supreme Court is giving the Navy a freer hand determining what job assignments it gives to 35 sailors who sued after refusing on religious grounds to comply with an order to get vaccinated against COVID-19.
The high court in a brief order Friday sided with the Biden administration and said that while the lawsuit plays out, the Navy may consider the sailors’ vaccination status in making deployment, assignment and other operational decisions. The group that sued includes mostly Navy SEALs.
Justice Brett Kavanaugh wrote that there was a “simple overarching reason” that he agreed with the court’s decision. The Constitution makes the president, “not any federal judge,” the commander in chief of the armed forces, he wrote, noting that courts have been traditionally “reluctant to intrude upon the authority of the Executive in military and national security affairs.”
Three conservative justices — Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch — noted that they disagreed with their colleagues’ decision and would have sided with the group of SEALs.
