“Congressman Fortenberry’s conviction represents a breach of the public trust and confidence in his ability to serve. No one is above the law,” Pelosi, a lifelong crook who mysteriously made hundreds of millions of dollars as a member of Congress said on Friday.
Fortenberry was convicted on three felony counts – one count of falsifying and concealing material facts and two counts of making false statements (each count carries five years) by a federal grand jury in Los Angeles.
Fortenberry’s lawyers argued at trial that the FBI lured the Congressman into giving two interviews – then indicted him after he couldn’t remember all the details about a conversation he had with an FBI informant about the illicit campaign donation.
“Defense lawyers said the FBI “set up” Fortenberry after a national investigation fizzled into foreign money funneled to members of Congress. They said Fortenberry’s flaw was voluntarily meeting with agents and prosecutors to help their probe and having a faulty memory.” – AP reported.
Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts will call a special election to fill Fortenberry’s vacant seat.

“We got a little closer and it was a person laying on the ground,” said Williams. “Everyone was just panicking and screaming.”
Witnesses say the boys parents were panicking as they watched.
A video of the boy falling from the ride was posted to social media, however The Gateway Pundit has decided to post an edited version showing moments leading up to the tragic accident.
Special Prosecutor John Durham wants to ask potential jurors if they have any links to Hillary Clinton’s promotion of the Russian collusion hoax.
Recall, Hillary Clinton hatched the Trump-Russia plot in 2016 to distract from her emails transmitted over a private server while she was the head of the Department of State.
John Durham wants to know about any links to Hillary Clinton’s promotion of the Russian collusion canard in a questionnaire to potential jurors.
Attorneys for Clinton’s campaign lawyer Michael Sussmann however are objecting to the question.
The legal team for indicted Democratic cybersecurity lawyer Michael Sussmann doesn’t like special counsel John Durham’s proposal to ask potential jurors in an upcoming trial if they have any links to groups that looked into what he describes as the Hillary Clinton campaign’s promotion of “the Trump/Russia collusion narrative.”
A filing in federal court Friday said both Durham’s team and Sussmann’s lawyers were in agreement about a questionnaire asking potential jurors if “you, any family member, or close personal friend participated or had any connection with any other government agency, group, organization, committee or subcommittee, public or private group or organization, including any media group or organization that has investigated or made inquiry into” either “Russian interference with the 2016 election” or “the federal government’s investigation of Donald Trump’s relationship with Russia.”
But Sussmann’s team said it objected to the Durham prosecution request to ask the jury pool the same question related to any links to groups that have looked at or been tied to “the Clinton Campaign and/or the Democratic National Committee’s promotion of the Trump/Russia collusion narrative.”
Earlier this week President Trump filed a federal RICO lawsuit against Hillary Clinton, the DNC and several Democrats over the Russia collusion canard.
“In the run-up to the 2016 Presidential Election, Hillary Clinton and her cohorts orchestrated an unthinkable plot — one that shocks the conscience and is an affront to this nation’s democracy,” Trump’s lawyers argued. “Acting in concert, the Defendants maliciously conspired to weave a false narrative that their Republican opponent, Donald J. Trump, was colluding with a hostile foreign sovereignty.”
Ukranian President and former actor Volodymyr Zelenskyy is reportedly negotiating making a speech during the 2022 Oscars.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences award show airs on Sunday.
“Academy officials still are debating on whether Zelenskyy will indeed appear briefly on the show, sources said. It’s also not clear if he would appear live or in a taped message. Sources said the debate centers on whether the Oscars should remain apolitical as the Russian invasion of Ukraine rages on,” the New York Post reports.
The Oscars have been in a ratings free fall since the shows became massively political during the Trump administration.
“ABC, which is broadcasting the show, is said to be in favor of Zelenskyy, a former actor, making a statement. ABC did not return requests for comment,” the Post report continued.
Actress Mila Kunis, who was born in Ukraine, and her husband Ashton Kutcher, are expected to make a statement during the show. They have raised $35 million for Ukrainian refugees.
They have been thanked for their efforts by Zelenskyy himself.
The Nation magazine correspondent Elie Mystal is doubling down on his claim that the U.S. Constitution is “not good” and “actually trash.”
During a Wednesday appearance on a talk show for Salon, Mystal argued that the Constitution was drafted by “a bunch of rich, white politicians making deals with each other,” who owned slaves, and didn’t allow any non-White people into the room to have their voices heard, leading to his view that the nation’s founding document has been “given too much deference.”
This guy is a piece of work. He clearly hasn’t studied history and his comments are anti-White which at any other time would be referred to as racism.
Former President Donald Trump is calling for the Clinton-appointed judge to be recused from his lawsuit against Hillary Clinton, the Democratic National Committee, and nearly 50 others for sabotaging his presidency.
Trump discussed the lawsuit during an interview with BlazeTV host Glenn Beck.
The accusations in the 108 page complaint include, but are not limited to, RICO conspiracy, injurious falsehood, conspiracy to commit injurious falsehood, malicious prosecution, Computer Fraud and Abuse Act violations, and theft of trade secrets.
“It was totally corrupt what they did,” Trump said.
The Blaze reports that “the lawsuit will be heard by U.S. District Court Judge Donald Middlebrooks, who was appointed by former President Bill Clinton. In 2015, Middlebrooks threw out a civil racketeering suit filed against Hillary Clinton that claimed she had used her private email server and position as secretary of state to promise changes in U.S. foreign policy in exchange for speaking fees and donations to the Clinton Foundation.”
Trump told Beck that this is a conflict of interest and that Middlebrooks must recuse himself immediately.
“We have a judge that was appointed by Bill Clinton. And who knows Hillary Clinton very well. And we’re suing Hillary Clinton,” Trump said.
“Now, the problem we have, though, is if you have a judge that’s going to throw out the case, and you have to go through appeals. Yep, I think you have a great appeals section. But we’ll see. So we’ll probably ask for a recusal. Maybe a change of venue. But not a change as much as a recusal,” he added.
Trump is seeking $72 million in damages in the lawsuit.
“Stagflation is not a happy subject. There are times when the economy gets into an intractable mess — slow growth or no growth with rising prices. That’s stagflation. We haven’t felt it in a generation, but it looks like it is headed our way again. You are gonna hear a lot about this. For the past year, inflation has gradually picked up steam. Now it is running hot at a 10% clip — and I think it gets worse. Food price inflation will soon accelerate. Couple that with gas prices and electricity bills and everything else, and you have got an inflation problem everybody can see and feel. Now, it’s the job of the Federal Reserve to fix that. They do this by raising interest rates. And that’s what they’re doing now. The economy will slow. That’s the “stag” part of stagflation. Stagnant economy, rising prices. Stagflation. Now, think of the implications of this. The standard of living — especially for low-income people — goes down. Just about everybody loses ground. Now, we saw stagflation in the 70s and very early 80s — 10% inflation, slowing economy, rate hikes then recession. An angry electorate fired President Carter. This time around, we are already feeling stagflation in our wallets. I think the politicians will feel it at the ballot box – and soon.”
Unfortunately, we may not have enough time to vote out the politicians.
If higher food prices hit this summer, like farmers are predicting, it will be too late.
Some people are preparing for food price increases by stocking up on long-lasting food.
According to one report, Costco has sold out of some of its emergency foods:
“Received order on the 3rd day by UPS-FREE! Excellent communication. Product sealed in very durable containers and standing by now for me. No regrets. Absolutely recommend!!”
“Best calories per dollar deal — Over 300 calories per dollar is amazing.”
“The battle to be self reliant is a hand most of the world has lost. Through this company and its outstanding quality we all can sleep easier knowing we are not 9 meals from anarchy.”
MyPatriotSupply has nearly 50,000 4-star and 5-star reviews online.
When you order buckets of long-lasting food, you can put them in a closet or back pantry — and worry less about what your family will need in an emergency.
If food prices skyrocket, you’ve got enough food to last.
Elon Musk held a poll on Twitter asking members whether Twitter adhered to free speech or not. The results were as expected.
Even Twitter couldn’t cover up these results. (A good question would be how many bots voted for Twitter in the poll?) In answer to his poll on free speech, over 70% of the more than 2 million who voted said that Twitter does not adhere to free speech.
In response to the results from his poll with over 2 million voting on whether Twitter censors free speech, which it does, Musk asked another question.
Twitter banned President Trump from using its platform after the 2020 Election despite President Trump being the most-watched politician, if not character on the site. Twitter constantly bans free speech on the site. (The Gateway Pundit and myself are banned.)
