Generally, there isn’t much information about Sudan’s military industry in general and their small arms in particular. The country has been sanctioned and isolated from the international community for a long time as a result of bloody civil war, genocide, and war crimes committed during the War in Darfur. While very little information is available, some […]
Update (0900ET): As markets increasingly hope that a ceasefire deal in Ukraine might finally be at hand, media reports claim that Russia’s high command has already started to withdraw forces from around Kiev in what the US believes represents a “major” policy shift.
Russia has reportedly said it wouldn’t mind if the Ukrainians joined the EU, so long as they remain militarily neutral. But whether or not this is a genuine breakthrough remains to be seen.
* * *
As the first statements coming off now concluded for the day Russia-Ukraine ceasefire talks trickle out, both Interfax and Reuters are reporting the potential for a major breakthrough, as Russia’s Defense Ministry has said it’s seeking to create conditions for dialogue towards halting military activity around the capital of Kiev and major northern city of Chernihiv.
The New York Times suggests this possible overture comes as Russian forces are facing stiff resistance near the capital, as also yesterday Ukraine said it retook the major Kiev suburb of Irpin. “Diplomats from Ukraine and Russia were discussing a possible cease-fire on Tuesday at talks in Turkey, an effort that comes as a Ukrainian counteroffensive pushed back Russian forces in a hard-fought area near Kyiv, the capital,” NY Times writes.
Tuesday’s Ukraine and Russia delegations hosted in Istanbul, Turkey
The talks were called “constructive” by the Russian top negotiator Vladimir Medinsky, who said he will take Ukraine’s proposals for stopping the war directly to Putin, which crucially is centered on a pledge of ‘neutrality’ vis-a-vis NATO. The meeting, held in Istanbul, lasted four hours.
“The two delegations also discussed international security guarantees for Ukraine, according to Mykhailo Podolyak, an aide to President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine.” Negotiations will likely continue Wednesday, according to NY Times: “The Kremlin’s spokesman, Dmitri S. Peskov, told reporters that the talks, which he said could continue on Wednesday, could be of great consequence, without offering details on the shape of a possible deal.” Following this, there’ve been reports that talks could continue through into the night.
Ukraine’s top negotiator said Ukraine is now offering to discuss the Crimea question – and there could be enough substantial agreement on the scope of negotiations to hold a direct Putin-Zelensky meeting, something which Putin has thus far clearly rejected. According to the full quote from the Russian side:
“Due to the fact that negotiations on the preparation of an agreement on the neutrality and non-nuclear status of Ukraine, as well as on the provision of security guarantees to Ukraine, are moving into practice, taking into account the principles discussed during today’s meeting, by the Russian Ministry of Defense in order to increase mutual trust and create the necessary conditions for further negotiations and achievement of the ultimate goal of agreeing on the signing of the above agreement, a decision was made to radically, at times, reduce military activity in the Kiev and Chernigov direction“, Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin told reporters.
And on a possible Putin and Zelensky meeting while implementing terms of agreements, Medinsky further told reporters:
“After today’s meaningful conversation, we have agreed and are proposing a solution according to which the meeting of the heads of state is possible simultaneously with the initialing of the treaty by the foreign ministers. Moreover, at the time of this initialing and consideration of the details of the treaty, various political nuances and details can be discussed.”
“We have received written proposals from Ukraine confirming their readiness for a neutral, non-aligned and non-nuclear status, along with a refusal to produce and deploy all types of weapons of mass destruction, including chemical and bacteriological ones, and a ban on the presence of foreign military bases and foreign troops on the territory of the country”, Medinsky said.
However, for the first time, Medinsky said that such a meeting of presidents is now “possible” – according to statements given to TASS, suggesting that Tuesday’s talks appear to be the most substantive so far since the invasion and conflict began.

But one significant future hurdle to anything final leading to a complete cessation of hostilities is that Ukraine has insisted that a national referendum would be needed for any central terms of agreement with Russia – for example on giving up Crimea.
The Ukraine side also reportedly stipulated that it would need “full peace” across the country for any final peace agreement to be deemed in force. Ukraine is further open to keeping neutral status if the peace holds up.
As for a possible halt in fighting near Kiev, the Pentagon issued a quick statement saying it’s seen no signs of withdrawal on the part of Russian army units from near the capital, which would likely take some significant time to implement.
On the positive headlines, notes Bloomberg, “Stoxx Europe 600 Index extends gains to 1.8% as Russia decided to cut military activity near Ukraine’s Kyiv, Chernihiv, Russian Deputy Defense Minister Alexander Fomin tells briefing after bilateral talks in Istanbul.”

There’s Little Time Left Before the REAL DISASTER occurs!
The Biden Administration has unilaterally moved $1.9 billion that was set aside for protecting Americans and the country and is spending it in some wasteful and unknown manner.
Biden’s OMB Director Shalanda Young wouldn’t say exactly where $1.9 billion in taxpayer money went but it was clear that it didn’t spend it on the construction of a border wall that would protect Americans. In response to questioning, Ms. Young finally said what the Biden gang did with the money.
We’re actually doing environmental restoration, something that was woefully lacking. We’re also doing community consultation. I think that’s important to many of you who represent constituents.
Where did $1.9 billion really go? What do ‘environmental restoration and community consultation really mean? This sounds like Biden took the money and gave it to whoever they wanted, including perhaps 10% for the Big Guy.
The Biden gang isn’t concerned about millions of unchecked illegal immigrants entering the country or who they might be. They show that they have no concern about whether these individuals are terrorists or not. Their border is open. The rest of the country has to go through immigration upon entering the country, but illegals at the border do not.
However, the Biden Administration says it has given some of these illegals COVID shots.
GOP Representative Jake Ellzey from Texas was on with Tucker last night and he asked whether Joe Biden is colluding with the media. This is something that has been going on for months.
After putting his foot in his mouth for days and almost starting World War III, Joe Biden was prevented from speaking at yesterday’s presser in DC. He was asked only one question as we reported yesterday.
Rep. Jake Ellzey questioned whether a cue card with talking points that President Biden used involved collusion with the media and suggested that other people are “calling the shots.”
A photo showed that Biden held a note card during a news briefing Monday. The card included prepared responses to a question asking what the president meant when he said earlier that Russian President Vladimir Putin couldn’t remain in power.
“The question I have is, were those questions that he had on the note card planted by somebody else and then referred to by the media?” Ellzey, a Texas Republican, said during an interview with Fox News. “That would show collusion with the media.”
The Democrats collude with Big Tech and the Mainstream Media and have for years. This is a key reason that the US is in such a terrible state with a senile old man being led by people we don’t even know who they are.
Joe Biden’s nomination of radical Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson as Supreme Count Justice was the regime’s final assault on American Greatness. Ketanji’s most endearing qualities according to Biden was that she was female and black.
Despite her selection based on her femaleness, Ketanji refuses to define what a female is.
Hunter Biden tells a hooker that Russians stole his laptop for blackmail in a video loaded on Hunter Biden’s laptop.
The fake news mainstream media lied again.
They needed to flip an election to the Joe Biden crime family so they lied to the American public about Hunter Biden’s laptop. 51 top intelligence officials signed a letter saying Hunter Biden’s letter was Russian disinformation. Joe Biden lied about his son’s laptop during a debate. The media lied about it as Russian disinformation to save Joe Biden.
But now that the election is over and stolen, they can come clean on their lies. The New York Times lasat week finally admitted the Hunter Biden laptop was authentic — something The Gateway Pundit has said since the beginning.
And now former CIA agents are now openly bragging about taking part in stealing the election from Trump.
Former CIA senior operations officer John Sipher tweeted this out bragging about their deceitful plot to take down Trump and swing an election.
The Epoch Times reported:
One of the former CIA officers who signed a letter claiming stories about a laptop allegedly belonging to Hunter Biden were disinformation says he helped swing the 2020 election away from former President Donald Trump.
“I take special pride in personally swinging the election away from Trump,” John Sipher, who served for decades as a senior operations officer at the CIA, wrote in a recent post on Twitter. “I lost the election for Trump? Well then I [feel] pretty good about my influence.”
Sipher and 50 other former U.S. intelligence officials signed the letter on Oct. 19, 2020, alleging that the effort to distribute its contents “has all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation,” despite not knowing whether the laptop was legitimate.
The Post was the first to report about emails on the laptop, which was dropped off at a computer repair store and never picked up by then-presidential candidate Joe Biden’s son, according to the store’s owner.
Here is 20 minutes of the US fake news mainstream media lying about the Hunter Biden laptop and ignoring the Biden family crimes.
Via The Storm Has Arrived.
President Trump released two messages where he pointed out that the Democrats stole the 2020 Election an the Republicans are letting them get away with it. The is the crime of the century.
President Trump released one statement where he rightly claims that the Democrats committed a coup on November 3 by stealing the 2020 Election.
While they say that January 6 was an “attempted coup,” which it was not, they should add that the Election on November 3 was the actual coup. All you have to do is look at the massive evidence in Swing States, available upon request (with much more to come). Our Country is paying a big price for that Rigged Election!
President Trump also released another statement on the obvious about the Democrats committing massive voter fraud and those who want to uncover it being investigated.
So, let’s get this straight. The Democrats commit massive and overwhelming voter fraud in the 2020 Presidential Election, and they want the Republicans to go to jail for investigating and protesting a very crooked Election? Republicans must get tough (and smart!) and not let them get away with the Crime of the Century!
Republicans better wake up or they will soon be replaced.
Dr. Fauci, Director of NIAID, on June 30th, 2020. Dr. Collins, Director of NIH, photo from 2011.
A trove of documents that were uncovered by a recent Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request reveals the National Institutes of Health (NIH) secretly deleted information about the genetic sequencing of the Covid-19 virus in the summer of 2020.
No surprise, former NIH director Francis Collins and NIAID Director Tony Fauci were front and center with this cover-up too.
According to Just the News — the now-deleted data was provided to the NIH by researchers at the Wuhan Institute of Virology in March 2020, but was deleted shortly after it was received at the request of the Communist Chinese Party (CCP) aligned lab.
After an initial pushback by the NIH, the files were completely deleted in the middle of June.
The emails obtained by the Empower Oversight group show a Wuhan University researcher submitted virus sequence information to the NIH’s Sequence Read Archive in March 2020 – the same month the World Health Organization declared a pandemic and about two months after the virus was detected in Wuhan.
The scientist made an additional submission on the virus in June 2020, according to the emails. Later that day, he asked the NIH to retract the submission, claiming it was made in error.
The NIH responded by saying it preferred to edit or replace submissions over replacing them.
A few days later, the researcher submitted another request to withdraw the genetic sequence from the NIH database, according to the emails.
The NIH agreed to the researcher’s request one day later, and asked for clarification on whether another submission should be deleted.
“I had withdrawn everything,” an unnamed NIH official said to the Wuhan researcher in an email.
Additionally, a separate batch of emails recovered by EO indicated that the genetic sequencing data “seemed to support” claims that the virus was man-made and was originated from the extremely-dangerous Gain of Function research that was taking place at the Wuhan institute.
According to one email sent by Professor Trevor Bedford of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, who works closely with Fauci, Collins, and the NIH explained the deleted sequencing data likely indicated that the virus originated outside the Hunan Market in Wuhan and that the “matter must be analyzed properly. But, despite communicating his concerns, it seems like the issue was never even looked into by the agency – in fact, it’s quite the contrary. The Public Health Regime has covered up any notion that this virus was created in a lab.
The newly uncovered documents further reveal that Fauci and Collins were specifically made aware of the genetic sequencing data that was eventually deleted. In one exchange with another member of the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, virologist Jesse Bloom, the NIH and NIAID directors were “alerted” about the takedown and concerns over the contents of the data, prompting them to host an emergency Zoom meeting with NIH staff and affiliates.
“The documents also show an expert advised then-NIH Director Francis Collins and Dr. Anthony Fauci, who leads the agency’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, that COVID originated outside of the Wuhan food market, as the Chinese government has claimed.”
Keep in mind, this genetic sequencing data for the virus was provided to US Public Health officials in the earliest stages of the pandemic when absolutely nothing was widely known about it. Not only would the information have likely helped save lives but the data would have exposed the corrupt scheme behind the pandemic much earlier if it truly did confirm the lab leak theory – Hence why Fauci, Collins, and the NIH kept quiet and pulled the info down.
Yesterday, Arizona State Senator Sonny Borrelli delivered an update on the fight to ban unmonitored dropboxes in Arizona and the ongoing criminal investigation into Arizona’s 2020 election.
The Gateway Pundit previously reported on an investigation into Maricopa County ballot harvesting efforts, which used Public Records Requests for all ballot box retrieval and chain of custody forms utilized in Maricopa County during the 2020 General Election. The report concluded that Maricopa County officials violated Arizona law and do not have the required chain of custody for at least 740,000 ballots.
Last Monday, The Arizona Senate Government committee considered HB2238, which was passed in the Arizona House to ban the unconstitutional unmonitored drop boxes.
The bill passed through committee along party lines, and Democratic Senators pretended not to understand the bill’s purpose: to prevent unlawful ballot harvesting and ballot-box stuffing and to restore voter confidence. State Senator Martin Quezada ridiculously argued that the bill’s purpose was to stop Democrats from voting.
State Senator Sonny Borrelli gave an update on this fight and the evidence delivered to Arizona Attorney General Mark Brnovich.
Borrelli: This session we’ve heard multiple bills that secure our future elections. One of the issues is the drop boxes. On March 21st in the Senate government committee, we heard testimony on a bill that would put greater security measures on these drop boxes. Members were informed of evidence from the 2020 election, about the drop boxes. For example, Maricopa County said that they had over 923,000 ballots that were dropped off at the drop boxes. However, documentation can only account for 189,167 ballots. Which means that there’s a deficit of 733,000 ballots. That’s right. Over 733,000 ballots are unaccounted for.
So what have we learned? We learned that the big lie is that “this was a secure election.” I’m sorry, it was not a safe and secure election. We have so many problems with our process that need to be followed through. And laws need to be adhered to and complied with. All of this evidence have been turned over to the Attorney General. Oh and by the way, every Democrat voted no in committee. We’re looking forward to the conclusion of the Attorney General’s investigation.
In addition to this investigation, Dinesh D’Souza’s upcoming documentary, 2000 Mules, is set to expose the widespread voter fraud and nationwide ballot trafficking operation using commercially available geo-tracking cell phone data.
We’d love to say that all threats to survival could be resolved by starting a fire and building a lean-to. Unfortunately, in today’s world, the threats you’re most likely to face will come to you in your city, neighborhood, or home. There’s a good chance you won’t have the time or ability to bug-out to the nearest forest and wait things out while living off the land. The silver lining is that many street-level urban survival issues can be mitigated, or even avoided completely, with a keen eye and a little bit of advance planning. This is the space that Ryan Atkinson makes his living in.
Ryan is a security professional with decades of experience in more than 50 countries. He has extensive experience protecting some of the hottest musical acts of the last 20 years (or longer), tracking down weirdos before they can do something awful, and he’s a huge knife enthusiast. Fortunately, the knowledge he’s garnered along the way isn’t exclusively for A-list celebrities. His grassroots street smarts and lessons from protective missions around the world are applicable to anybody looking to make it to the end of their workday in peace. We had the privilege to sit down with Ryan at his unofficial headquarters, Barclay & Hill barbershop in Meridian, Idaho.

Ryan Atkinson Interview
RECOIL OFFGRID: Tell us about your upbringing and background. How did you get started in the field of full-time VIP protection?Ryan Atkinson: Raised in Los Angeles County, I played sports from age 5 to 22. High school coaches noticed me for my size and strength. I ended up earning a football scholarship to the University of Kansas. After playing college ball and graduating in 2002, I got my foot in the door by working for a security firm out of Kansas City at age 22. Rock bands and pop stars on world tours were the specialties.
Above: With Hilary Duff at MTV’s TRL in New York City.
After some short work exposure with The Eagles, Blink 182, and Korn, my first full-time gig was venue security director for the band Pearl Jam. I went on to tour the world with Good Charlotte, Linkin Park, Dashboard Confessional, Hilary Duff, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Motley Crüe, Depeche Mode, and most recently, KISS.
What led you to spend the last 20 years working with entertainers, as opposed to corporate executives or politicians?RA: I never set out to do one or the other, it was just a matter of the relationships I forged during my college days that led me down this path. I get asked the same question every single day when I’m out on tour, “How did you get this job?” I tend to oversimplify the answer when I’m on the go, but the truth is, no two celebrity security people found the path the same way.
Above: At 6 feet 2 inches and 260 pounds, Ryan is an imposing presence, but he also knows how to blend into a crowd.Traveling the world on tour sounds exciting but also exhausting. What are some steps you’ve taken to adapt to frequent travel?RA: Traveling is always exhausting. I’m nearly 20 years in the business and still get worn out. I think the thing that separates the professionals is the ability to power through long workdays in new environments without complaining. Keep in mind, in the concert business, peak hours are 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. Tour security guys have been up and moving since 8 a.m., just like folks with normal jobs. Most people have no idea what that feels like.
Above: Behind the scenes with Alice Cooper. How do you distinguish potential threats from excited fans or rowdy concertgoers? It must be especially challenging in unfamiliar environments with language barriers and cultural differences.RA: Like anything, establishing baselines and identifying anomalies through practice.
I compare it to an airline pilot. Watching a pilot do all the equipment checks before takeoff looks like a puzzle that’s hard to understand. But that person does it every day, often in a different aircraft.
My “aircraft” happens to be excited people. When you stand next to a celebrity, everyone tends to stare and photograph that person. Sometimes there are characters mixed in with a different level of energy, staring at me. There you are — the anomaly.
Above: Working with Motley Crüe.Tell us about a memorable instance when you managed a potentially dangerous situation to protect your client.RA: The number of times I’ve had to put hands on folks is crazy. A lot of rock stars like to push the limits on crowd interaction, usually tasking me with safe passage into drunk crowds. But the most memorable scenarios are the ones that require brainpower. I worked for pop stars for nearly 10 years, a space where stalkers are more prevalent. Finding these people before they carry out their threats was always satisfying.
One case in particular sticks out. I was helping a fellow security person that was traveling with a pop star across the USA. He was moving too fast to track a threat in the next town, so I helped do some digital investigation for him.
This person was making threats online, announcing that he would carry weapons to an upcoming show and carry out a mass-casualty event. He even posted the guns he would use, giving me reason to believe he had the intent and means.
I found and scrolled through his online profiles, found a license plate in one of his shots, tracked the plate to an address, and called the local sheriff. The sheriff blew me off over the phone, so I called the local news station with a story. The news station in turn called the sheriff, who was then forced to deal with the situation. This happened in 24 hours and the person was arrested that day.
Above: Touring with KISS in Spain. We’ve all heard stories of the wild rock band lifestyle, with round-the-clock parties and trashed hotel rooms. In your experience, how much of it’s true, and how much is exaggerated?RA: There’s a reason that most guys can’t handle this job. What I do has almost nothing to do with police work or EP details. We do what we can do, not what we should do. I’ve been asked to look the other way more times than I can count. And I’ve been asked to lie or conceal what has happened even more. Oftentimes, the moral compass seems to lose its magnetic field. I talk a lot about this in my courses, but not in print due to nondisclosure agreements.
Above: Backstage with KISS at Madison Square Garden. How do you balance keeping your clients safe without impeding their ability to enjoy touring?RA: I always tell local security folks and police support units, “We are not a security operation; we are a production.” New guys must learn that balance. It’s about the show, it’s about the content, not security. Learning to take a more passive role in front of the entertainment crowd will determine your success. I’ve worked with a lot of retired secret service guys over the years, and they just can’t wrap their heads around how I stay calm with so much chaos surrounding our group. We check the big boxes and let the small boxes fall into place.
Above: With Depeche Mode in Sweden.Much of your work takes place in nonpermissive environments where traditional weapons may not be available. What skills and tools do you use to maintain defensive capabilities in these places?RA: A lot of guys focus on NPE weapons as a failsafe or security blanket. Sometimes it’s important to carry these tools, but there are much more important things to think about. First is physical fitness; you aren’t going to get off that X with another person if your strength and cardio suck. Second is being able to deconstruct the environment and passively position yourself and the client near your exit and vehicle location. Third is using your local security detail efficiently. This is a big one as you often get guys that don’t speak English or understand how to move. Calmly coaching other guys and encouraging them on the go in intense environments is a skill in its own.
Your Instagram (@fldwrx, pronounced “field works”) is always filled with photos of cool knives and EDC gear. How did you get into knife collecting and knifemaking?RA: The Fldwrx project started when I was on tour with a very well-known group, doing personal security (close protection), looking after the lead singer. He was immobile for the most part, so I had many hours stuck inside of hotel rooms. I was OCONUS (Outside the CONtinental U.S.) for the better part of two years and unable to carry a firearm, so I found myself deep diving into the knife world.
Above: Boarding a jet with Depeche Mode in Moscow. What was your first knife, and which is your favorite?RA: I’ve always carried knives since the Swiss Army knife in the schoolyard.
As I got older, I’d carry Spydercos and Emersons. I didn’t carry fixed blades until I found Milmakaz Blades and FLC Knives. Then Winkler, Joe Watson, and Tracker Dan carried me into the high-end but functional fixed blade world.
Above: This Amtac Blades Northman is one of an extensive collection of high-end yet functional blades that Ryan has collected. What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone looking to get into the VIP protection industry?RA: Show up, put yourself in front of everyone, be helpful, and don’t complain.
I’ve never missed a day of school or work in my life. That’s my superpower, I don’t miss days and everything I have going on in my personal life is secondary. If you are going to thrive in celebrity protection world, you’ll have to do a lot of non-security work. I like to joke with new guys, “Do you pick up dog poop?” … “Now you do!”
Which of your skills has proven most valuable for your job?RA: Communication. You can be the smartest person in the room, but if you aren’t relatable, you won’t get people to do what you want. Being in charge of a building filled with locals that don’t speak English and a couple of interpreters that are overworked and spread thin is mind-bending.
Above: The back panel of Ryan’s Vertx backpack contains a DFNDR Armor ballistic panel, which can serve as a shield for clients in emergencies. We hope to attend one of your High Visibility Protection courses in the future. Tell our readers a little about what you teach in the class.RA: I like to talk about situational awareness a lot, expanding all the parts and then bringing it back together. We go over deconstructing environments and simplifying complex situations. As humans, we can only think critically about a finite number of things each day, how to manage that along with our emotions is critical.
I go over counter-custody and kidnap ransom in a separate block based on my experience overseas and things I’ve learned from guys like Ed Calderon and “Karl” from 4Tac5.
We discuss edged weapons and sheathing systems along with targeting soft tissue, based on the teachings of Scott Babb of Libre Fighting. I like to show students “a way to do things” not “the way to do things.” There’s a million ways to skin a cat — start with a sharp knife!
Above: Ryan carries extensive medical equipment when traveling abroad. It’s attached to a Vertx SOCP deployable insert for quick access. What are questions you get the most through social media and in your classes?RA: The knife world is bizarre. There are combative guys, custom makers, people from the occult, and secret squirrels from elite military units that creep into my DMs. I’ve tried to stay helpful and honest with everyone. I am not the authority on fixed blades, I’m just a guy with some unique training, lots of worldly experience and personal opinions.
