Dirtbag RINO Fred Upton (R-MI) was one of ten Republican lawmakers to vote to impeach President Donald Trump for the protests and riot at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021.
Upton joined nine other Republicans, including fellow Michigander, freshman “GOP” Rep. Peter Meijer of Grand Rapids, in impeaching Trump after House Democrats rushed through a resolution.
Rep. Upton was later censured by a Michigan county for his irresponsible vote.
Fred Upton announced his retirement earlier this month. He will not seek reelection.
On Sunday Upton went on Meet the Press to trash Republicans on his way out the door.

Warring factions within the Republican Party could push the GOP into ‘troubled waters’ with less than seven months until the November midterm elections, a retiring lawmaker said on Sunday.
Rep. Fred Upton (R-Mich.) was the fourth House GOP lawmaker to drop his re-election bid out of 10 who voted to impeach Donald Trump for the Capitol riot. Upton announced his retirement earlier this month.
Speaking to NBC News’ Meet the Press on Sunday, the veteran lawmaker suggested the growing influence of far-right voices in Congress was the most significant he’s seen since taking office.
‘Lauren Boebert, and Marjorie Taylor Green, and Paul Gosar, is that a different element than you’ve ever seen before?’ host Chuck Todd asked.
Upton answered, ‘I don’t think we’ve had as many folks in that sort of wing of the party elected as we have before, but I think they’re very popular back at home.’
Pressed on what that meant for the party, the Michigan congressman said, ‘Troubled waters I guess you could say.’
But that same day, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-Calif.) gave a far sunnier outlook on the GOP’s chances in the midterm elections.
In a privilege not granted to most Americans, illegal immigrants in Illinois between the ages of 55 and 64 can now receive taxpayer funded healthcare.
On July 1, the program will expand to cover eligible illegal immigrants between the ages of 42 to 54 as well.
The initial program was approved by state lawmakers in 2021 and has now gone into effect.
Illegal immigrants who qualify will not have to pay for doctor and hospital visits, lab tests, physical and occupational therapy, mental health, substance abuse disorder services, dental and vision services, or prescription drugs.
“Implementing more equitable health care coverage across the state is central to HFS’ mission, which means increasing access to quality health care choices for all Illinois residents, regardless of their immigration status,” Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services Director Theresa Eagleson told local station WSIL. “Amid a pandemic that has disproportionately affected older adults and people of color, efforts to remove barriers and create a more equitable health care system are more important as ever.”
In addition to the age requirement, the person must be an illegal immigrant or have been a legal permanent resident of the United States for less than five years. They must also have a household income is at or below $18,754 for one person; $25,268 for two people.
“Immigrant families face many challenges in their lives, and to know that their loved one may now have access to health care services will give families hope for a better quality of life in the state they’ve chosen as their home,” said HFS Assistant Director Jenny Aguirre. “Everyone deserves to have a healthier future, and I’m so proud that in Illinois, we consider health care access and equity a top priority.”
Democrats in the state are already planning to try and expand the program to cover all illegal immigrants in the state.
“The pandemic has shown us that it is critical for everyone to have access to high-quality health care, particularly as they age,” said Rep. Delia Ramirez, D-Chicago. “The Health Benefits for Immigrant Adults program providing coverage to noncitizen adults aged 55 and over is a significant step toward a more equitable health care system in Illinois. I look forward to working with the administration as we build on this successful program until all immigrant adults qualify for these benefits.”
Democrat New York City Mayor Eric Adams has admitted that progressive politics are playing a role in rising crime in US cities.
Adams made the admission during an appearance on ABC’s “This Week” on Sunday.
Speaking to Bloomberg Businessweek’s podcast on Thursday, former NYPD commissioner William Bratton said that growing crime is a result of the left going too far to protect criminals from facing justice.
“The scales right now are tipped very heavily in favor of the reforms of the progressive left. Well intended, some needed, but a bit too far, and what we have as a result is this growing fear of crime, this growing actual amount of crime in almost every American city,” Bratton said.
Asked about Bratton’s comments, Adams said that they need to stop allowing criminals to remain on the streets — a product of leftist jail and bail reform policies.
“Major mistakes made throughout the years that destroyed the trust that the police commissioner is talking about — we have to rebuild that trust,” Adams said. “But we can’t rebuild that trust by allowing those who are dangerous and that have — they have a repeated history of violence to continue to be on our streets.”
New York City Police Commissioner Keechant Sewell, who was also on the program, added, “we cannot lose sight of the victims of crime. We believe the system has to be fair and balanced, but when we lose sight of the victims of crime, we are not doing what public safety is intended to do.”
Jewayne M. Price was released on a $25,000 bond despite being one of three suspected gunmen involved in a shootout that left 14 people injured inside South Carolina’s Columbiana Centre Mall yesterday.
Price, 22, will be forced to wear an ankle monitor while awaiting charges, but in the meantime, he will be allowed to travel to and from work.
The Lexington County Detention Center released his mugshot:
Price, who was charged in 2018 for his involvement with the murder of high school student Amon Rice, is suspected of being one of three gunmen who injured 14 people between the ages of 15 and 73 on Saturday. Thankfully, no fatalities have been reported, with only the oldest victim still receiving active medical treatment.
Police do not believe the incident was random. “We believe they knew each other and something led to gunfire,” Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook said.
Daniel Johnson, who was at the mall with his family at the time of the shooting, described the incident as hectic. “You could see baby strollers turned over, people’s phones and left keys. It was a hectic situation,” he said.
Ten people were injured from gunshot wounds and four were trampled in the rush to escape the building.
The Columbia Police Department (CPD) confirmed that around 2:03 p.m. they were called to the scene of a shooting inside of Columbiana Centre. Police announced the arrest of Jewayne M. Price as a suspect.
Price is currently charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Pistol. CPD said additional charges may be coming. Two additional men were detained as persons of interest but were released after investigators found they were not involved.
During the bond hearing for Price on Sunday afternoon, the Columbia Police Department updated the injury tally to 14 people. Ten of those people suffered from gunshot wounds and four were injured when rushing from the mall (up from two people injured in the rush that was reported Saturday).
Investigators believe at least three suspects displayed weapons during the shooting and that at least two were fired. One of the firearms was collected as evidence. CPD said the shooting is likely an isolated and ongoing conflict between the suspects.
The Arkansas Razorback Football’s official Twitter announced the sad news on Friday sharing a statement alongside a photo of Wallace in his uniform. The statement read,
“Our hearts are broken, Brian will always be a Razorback. Our thoughts and love are with Brian’s family and friends”.
Citizens in Austin, Texas who are classified as facing ‘extreme hardship’ will receive $1,000 per month for a year in the program that promises to reduce crime.
A total of 85 Austin residents will receive monthly balloon payments of $1,000 according to the city’s Equity Office. Information on how those residents will be chosen and what they will need to qualify for the program has not yet been announced.
The pilot program’s size indicates that city officials aren’t all too confident in the virtue of doling out the cash.
Last year, Austin City Council decided to fund the program at $1.1 million at the recommendation of the ‘Reimagining Public Safety’ task force. Paula Rojas, the co-chair of the task force, explained that the program was developed in order to decrease crime. “A lot of the research we did showed us that increasing police does not make the city safer,” she said. “But there are many other programs that can actually prevent the need for policing. One of these is this guaranteed monthly income.”
Somehow, the task force managed to convince the city council that giving 85 people $1,000 a month will prevent the need for policing.
Austin Mayor Steve Adler has come out in support of the program, indicating that he wishes to see the money sent to those who are delinquent in paying rent. “It’s really expensive for our community when that happens,” Adler explained in an interview with KXAN. “Maybe if we can give somebody some assistance just before that happens we can keep them in their homes.”
The program is not unique and is modeled after an experiment run in Stockton, California that has also inspired similar programs in both Los Angeles and Chicago.
Only one member of the council opposed the measure, stating that they believed the federal government should provide guaranteed income at a much larger scale.
Progressives, it seems, have given up on job creation and have once again turned to handouts.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is calling for Joe Biden to visit Ukraine.
The comment came during the same interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, during which Zelenskyy said that “all of the countries of the world” should begin preparing for nuclear war with Russia.
“Do you want President Biden to come here?” Tapper asked.
Zelenskyy said that he doesn’t just want it to happen, but believes that it will.
“Are there any plans for him to come?” Tapper asked.
“I think he will,” Zelensky said.
“You think he will?” Tapper asked.
“I think he will,” Zelensky asserted. “But it’s his decision, of course, and about the safety situation, it depends. But I think he’s the leader of the United States, and that’s why he should come here to see.”
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Monday that “we are currently not planning a trip by the President of the United States to Ukraine.”
Zelenskyy urged other nations not to be “afraid” of nuclear war with Russia.
“The director of the CIA warned that he’s worried Putin might use a tactical nuclear weapon in this fight. Are you worried?” Tapper asked.
“Not only me, I think all over the world, all the countries have to be worried,” Zelensky responded. “Because, you know that it kind of be not real information, but it can be the truth because when they began to speak about one or another battles or involves enemies, or nuclear weapon, or some chemical, you know, issues, chemical weapons, they should do.”
“They could– I mean, they can. For them, life of the people is nothing,” he added. “That’s why we should think, not be afraid. I mean, that not be afraid, be ready. But that is not the question for to Ukraine, and not only for the Ukraine, for all over the world, I think so.”
In March, Zelenskyy taunted the West for being “afraid” of Moscow, in a bid to get fighter jets.
“I’ve talked to the defenders of Mariupol today. I’m in constant contact with them. Their determination, heroism and firmness are astonishing,” Zelenskyy said in a video early Sunday. “If only those who have been thinking for 31 days on how to hand over dozens of jets and tanks had 1% of their courage.”
“So, who is in charge of the Euro-Atlantic community? Is it still Moscow, thanks to its scare tactics?” Zelenskyy continued. “Our partners must step up their aid to Ukraine.”
Apparently, it is extreme cowardice not to run into WWIII for a foreign nation.
“This should be known as soon as possible by as many people on earth as possible so that everyone understands who and why was simply afraid to prevent this tragedy. Afraid to simply make a decision,” Zelenskyy said.
A Massachusetts school district is being sued by parents who allege that they secretly promoted gender transition of both their pre-teen son and daughter.
Stephen Foote and Marissa Silvestri Ludlow filed their lawsuit against Ludlow Public Schools last week.
The parents allege that school officials “impermissibly inserted themselves into the private realm” of their family, superseding their “rights to make decisions regarding their children’s upbringing, mental health, and well being,” according to a report from the New York Post.
“They had asked Paul L. Baird Middle School staff not to have private conversations with their kids about gender issues — but claim in court papers that the superintendent, principal, guidance counselor and teachers ignored the request, even referring to their biological daughter and son by other pronouns without the parents’ knowledge,” the report explains.
The children were identified only as B.F. and G.F. in the filings.
In an email to school staff, 11-year-old biological female B.F. told the school that they are “gender queer” and sent a lengthy list of pronouns they would like used.
“I am genderqueer. … My new name will be R**** … If you deadname me or use any pronouns I am uncomfortable with I will politely tell you … A list of pronouns you can use are: she/her he/him they/them fae/faerae/aer ve/ver xe/xem ze/zir. … Please only use the ones I have listed and not the other ones. I do not like them,” B.F. wrote, the parents said in court papers.
In response, guidance counselor Marie-Claire Foley, told school staff to hide the child’s transition from her parents.
“R**** [B****] is still in the process of telling his parents and is requesting that school staff refer to him as B**** and use she/her pronouns with her parents and in written emails/letters home,” Foley wrote in the email, which was also sent to the child.
The young girl’s 12-year-old brother G.F. also told school officials that they were transgender and wanted to be called a female name. The parents allege that the school complied and hid it from them.
Andrew Beckwith, an attorney for the parents, told the Post that, “the term groomer is being used a lot today. Imagine what goes through any parent’s mind when you have some other adult talking to your kid about sexuality — and saying we’re going to hide this conversation from your parents.”
“Despite the parents specifically telling the school, ‘We’re getting mental health treatment for our daughter and we don’t want the school interfering with that’ … [School staff] continued to have clandestine conversations,” he added.
Chairman of the Ludlow School Committee, Chip Harrington, said in a statement: “It’s a slippery slope. We want to support our students the best we can. But we should bring parents to the table, and hope they respond in a loving and supportive way as well.”
Abrams is worth $3.17 million, according to the state disclosures she filed in March, The Associated Press reported Tuesday. When she first ran for the Georgia governorship in 2018, Abrams was dealing with a “hefty bill from the IRS” and was worth only $109,000, the outlet noted.
The “hefty” tax bill from the IRS was $54,000, with a further $410,000 in liabilities, according to Fox News. She owed $96,000 in student loan debt and $83,000 in credit card debt, AP reported.
The Daily Caller reports that Abrams received $5-6 million in speeches and book deals. (This is one way Democrats launder money to their politicians.) The Caller also notes that Abrams has been paid, “paid $700,000 over her three years as executive director of the Southern Economic Advancement Project”. And,it is unknown how much Abrams has received from related entity Fair Fight Action:
Though Abrams did not disclose any payments from her 501(c)(4) Fair Fight Action, the group raised almost $62 million in dark money donations, according to Newsmax. Ninety-six percent of those donations “came from only 252 unidentified, large-dollar donors,” the outlet reported.
We reported on Abrams’s astronomical growth in income back in June of 2021. We uncovered the following:
Stacey Abrams, former Georgia State Rep, nonprofit czar, Hillary Clinton darling, and 2020 board member of John Podesta’suber-powerful, “charitable” nonprofit, the Center for American Progress think tank, has been revealed by CD Media as being an owner of ‘NowAccount,’ the firm financing Happy FacesPersonnel Group, the temp agency used in Fulton County, Georgia’s elections in November 2020 and January 2021.
We reported extensively on her activities related to the 2020 Election.
