“Let’s Go Brandon!” Trump Supporters Troll Biden as He Arrives at Seattle College (VIDEO)

Joe Biden traveled more than 3,000 miles to the Pacific Northwest to lecture Americans on climate change.

Trump supporters lined the streets to troll Joe Biden as his presidential motorcade drove to Green River College near Seattle.

The Trump supporters chanted, “Let’s go Brandon!” and gave Biden the middle finger as his motorcade drove by.

Joe Biden doesn’t even have supporters in deep blue Seattle. Let that sink in.

BREAKING: FL Gov.Ron DeSantis Signs Bill to Remove Disney’s Tax Privilege and Self-Governing Status — Disney Stocks Down 14% in One Month — Fitch Puts Stock on Negative Watch

0

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law on Friday that terminates all special districts that were enacted in Florida prior to 1968, including Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District. The new law will remove Disney’s tax privilege and special governing status.

The Reedy Creek Improvement District, which was created by state lawmakers in 1967, is the governing jurisdiction and special taxing district for the land of Walt Disney World Resort.

Rep. Randy Fine filed HB3C on Tuesday to end six of 1,844 special districts, including the Reedy Creek Improvement District.

The Florida Senate passed legislation on Wednesday to end Disney’s special tax privilege and self-governing status on a 23-16 vote.

TRENDING: HE’S FINISHED: GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy Released Statement Saying NYT Authors Misquoted Him on Pushing Trump from Office — THEN THEY RELEASED THE AUDIO

On Thursday, the Florida House voted 68-38 in favor to strip Disney’s self-government.

Lefty protesters screeched like demons as lawmakers voted to pass the legislation.

Today, Governor Ron DeSantis fulfilled his request to remove Disney’s tax privilege and self-governing power. The new law will formally take effect on June 1, 2023.

Click Orlando reported:

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed a bill into law that eliminates special districts created before 1968, including Disney’s Reedy Creek Improvement District.

The governor signed several bills during a ceremony at a South Florida charter school Friday afternoon, including the special districts bill introduced by Rep. Randy Fine. The Reedy Creek Improvement District — created by state lawmakers in 1967 — acts as Walt Disney World’s own government with two cities and land in Orange and Osceola counties.

DeSantis commented on Disney’s action during Friday’s news conference and said if “none of that had happened, this is the right thing to do,” calling Disney’s government “unlike anything else that we know in the state of Florida.”

“No individual or no company in Florida is treated this way, and it’s not right to have this similar treatment. But you know, they had exercised a lot of power over the years. It was never anything that was debated. In fact, I don’t even know that I knew the name of it prior to this becoming something that was live in the past few months,” he said.

According to the wording of the bill, it will dissolve “any independent special district established by a special act prior to the date of ratification of the Florida Constitution on November 5, 1968 and which was not reestablished, re-ratified, or otherwise reconstituted by a special act or general law after November 5, 1968.”

Although details are far from clear, the proposal could have huge tax implications for Disney.

Disney stock is now down 14% in the last month and 23% since January.

And Fitch Ratings put Disney on negative rating watch earlier today.

Trump Spoke to McCarthy Last Night After Secret Audio Was Released… and Here’s What Happened

0

A secret recording of Kevin McCarthy telling Liz Cheney he will recommend Trump resign was released Thursday evening.

In a leaked recording of Kevin McCarthy on a call with Liz Cheney and other House Republicans, the Minority Leader told Cheney that he would counsel Trump to resign back on January 10, 2021.

“I think [impeachment resolutions] will pass, and it would be my recommendation you should resign,” McCarthy said he would tell Trump before further adding, “what he did is unacceptable. Nobody can defend that and nobody should defend it.”

Liz Cheney had pressed McCarthy about whether Trump could possibly choose to resign on his own: “Is there any chance? Are you hearing that he might resign? Is there any reason to think that might happen?”

TRENDING: HE’S FINISHED: GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy Released Statement Saying NYT Authors Misquoted Him on Pushing Trump from Office — THEN THEY RELEASED THE AUDIO

McCarthy then admitted that this was a topic he has “had a few discussions” about with others. “My gut tells me no,” he said. “I’m seriously thinking of having that conversation with him tonight…Um, from what I know of him, I mean you guys all know him too, do you think he’d ever back away? But what I think I’m going to do, is I’m going to call him.”

According to the Washington Post, Trump and McCarthy spoke Thursday evening after the audio was leaked.

Trump is reportedly not upset with McCarthy and was “happy that McCarthy hadn’t followed through on what he had said privately.”

WaPo reported (emphasis ours):

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s (R-Calif.) hold on his status as the presumptive next GOP speaker was already tenuous. And on Thursday it seemed like it could slip further.

But how much?

For now, McCarthy appears to have avoided blowback from the top of the party. Many Republicans seem to be waiting for a cue from Trump about how to respond, though some have weighed in to defend or criticize McCarthy.

And The Post reports he spoke with Trump after the audio of the call was released, and Trump was not upset — indeed, he was even happy that McCarthy hadn’t followed through on what he had said privately.

Trump has been more accommodating of McCarthy than McConnell. They soon patched things up after McCarthy publicly blamed Trump for not quelling the Jan. 6 riot and even floated a historic censure resolution against Trump. McCarthy has also been more solicitous of Trump than McConnell has. And that could matter for the fate of his career.

Recent history is instructive when it comes to those with whom Trump is willing to reconcile.

On the one hand, Trump has been willing to overlook past criticisms — even harsh ones — provided the lawmaker in question proceeds to display the requisite obsequiousness. Trump recently endorsed Ohio Senate candidate J.D. Vance despite Vance having sharply criticized him in 2016 as unfit to be president.

And indeed, part of the reason Trump was reportedly not upset Thursday night was that McCarthy’s retreat showed the strength of Trump’s grip on the party.

The drought affects everyone in California, and it looks like it will be sticking around for a while. It can be tough news for homeowners and farmers trying to keep their property alive. But don’t worry, we’re here to help! This blog post will go over 11 drought survival tips to help you get through this difficult time. So Read on to learn how to conserve water indoors and outdoors and more!

Drought Survival Tips: How to Survive DroughtGlobal warming, arid, dry soil, cracked rift, dead trees | Drought Survival Tips: How to Survive Drought

As a prepper and survivalist, knowing how to survive a drought is essential. When insufficient rainfall and water levels drop, drought will likely strike. Droughts can increase the possibility of other natural disasters. It is a water shortage caused by dry spells but what is more interesting is it can happen anywhere. The best solution relies on planning, preparation, and preservation. Water is essential in our daily lives as well as our survival. So, it is best to avoid drought by conserving this renewable yet limited resource.
  • Be mindful of the weather patterns.
  • Use water wisely.
By doing this, you’re not only helping yourself survive; you are helping others as well.

How to Survive Drought

Concept of global warming and drought | How to Survive Drought

Plan for the drought.

  • Develop a strategy to use when a drought occurs.
  • Read an almanac that predicts future conditions by tracking rainfall from past seasons.
  • Check out the current and possible future conditions. You may check it on NOAA’s US Seasonal Drought Outlook website.
  • Measure the rainfall during the year. And determine a course of action for the likelihood of drought conditions.

General Drought Survival Tips

  • Never pour water down the drain when there may be another use for it. For example, use it to water your indoor plants or garden.
  • Repair dripping faucets by replacing washers. One drop per second wastes 2,700 gallons of water per year.
  • Check all plumbing for leaks and have any leaks repaired by a plumber.
  • Retrofit all household faucets by installing aerators with flow restrictors.
  • Install an instant water heater on your sink.
  • Insulate your water pipes to reduce heat loss and prevent them from breaking.
  • Turn the softener off while on vacation. Only install a water-softening system if the water would damage your pipes.
  • Choose appliances that are more energy and water-efficient.

Conserve water

How to Check for Leaks

  • To check, get out to your water meter and note the reading.
  • Then turn off all your faucets and don’t use any water for two hours.
  • If the reading on the meter has changed in two hours, you’ve got a leak.

In the Kitchen and Laundry

  • DO make sure the dishwasher is full before turning it on. Dishwashers use between 8 and 12 gallons of water per load.
  • DO make sure your clothes washer is full before turning it on. Each load of laundry usually requires 50 gallons or more of water.
  • DO use a water bowl to clean fruits and vegetables rather than running water over them. Reuse the water in the bowl to water your houseplants.
  • Store drinking water in the ref instead of running the tap every time you want a cool glass of water.
  • DON’T let the water run when washing dishes.

In the Bathroom

  • Time showers to five minutes.
  • Place a bucket in the shower to catch excess water for watering plants.
  • Turn the water on to get wet; turn it off to lather up; then turn the water back on to rinse. Repeat when washing your hair.
  • Don’t leave the water running when shaving or brushing your teeth.
  • Fill a cup with water for brushing your teeth.
  • Stop up the basin and fill it with water for shaving.
  • Avoid flushing the toilet unnecessarily.
  • Dispose of tissues, insects, and other similar waste in the trash rather than the toilet.
  • Place a 12 to 20-ounce plastic bottle in a toilet tank to displace water that fills for waste disposal.

Indoors Drought Survival Tips

Replace Old Toilets

If you’re a homeowner, one of the best drought survival tips is to replace your old toilets. Replace your old toilets with low-flow models. It can save you gallons of water every day, and it’s an easy fix. If you installed your toilets before 1994, consider replacing them. Toilets made before 1994 use 3.5 to 5.0 gallons per flush. New bathrooms now only use 1.28 gallons per flush and perform better than ever.

Long-term indoor water conservation

Opt for the new air-to-air models if installing a new heat pump or aircon. They are as efficient as the water-to-air type and do not use wastewater.

4. Store water

A green rain barrel to collect rainwater and reusing it | Store water Storing water is easy. If you do it well, you may keep water indefinitely. You can buy specialized water containers from any hardware store. Then, store them in your house. Keep in mind, though, that if the container breaks, you could end up with a small flood in your house, consider that. If you choose to store water outside of your house, keep it on the Northside of your home. UVs from the sun will deteriorate the container faster.

5. Store and Grow food

how to grow and harvest herbs and vegetables indoors using indoor grow kit | Store and Grow food Droughts can destroy crops and impact the price of food. Looking back at history, we’ve had about three major droughts in the US in the last 100 years, 1933-1938 (the “Dust Bowl”), 1953-1957, and 1988 (which caused crop losses of up to $15 000 000 000, yes… $15 Billion!). These droughts strained food production, causing food prices to skyrocket. Prepare for this by growing foods better suited to droughts. And store food (either store-bought or homegrown). Take classes in canning and preserving. You will need these old-school skills more than ever. Learn how to buy and stockpile food. Many books teach these and how to rotate storage to cut waste.

6. Collect water

Woman changing water container in air dryer, dehumidifier, humidity indicator. Humid air at home | Collect water Run a dehumidifier during the summer season. You may place it in your basement. It collects usable water you may use to water plants.

7. Conserve water outdoors

Lawn Care

Avoid overwatering your lawn and water only when needed: A heavy rain eliminates the need for watering for up to two weeks. Most of the year, lawns only need one inch of water per week. Check the soil moisture levels with a soil probe, spade, or large screwdriver.
  • You don’t need to water if the soil is still moist.
  • If your grass springs back when you step on it, it doesn’t need water.
If your lawn needs watering, here are some tips:
  • Water your lawn early in the morning or later in the evening. Temperatures are cooler.
  • Check your sprinkler system and adjust your sprinklers to water only your lawn. Avoid spilling waste.
  • Water in several short sessions to allow your lawn to absorb moisture better. Avoid a runoff.
Use a broom or blower instead of a hose to clean your driveway or sidewalk leaves and debris. Avoid leaving sprinklers or hoses unattended. A garden hose can pour out 600 gallons or more in only a few hours. In extreme drought, allow lawns to die in favor of preserving trees and large shrubs. If all you’re growing is grass, you’re wasting a horrifying amount of water on a non-edible crop. Landscape irrigation accounts for one-third of residential water use nationwide. It totals about 9 billion gallons per day. According to the EPA, approximately 50 percent of this water gets lost in evaporation. So that’s 4.5 billion gallons that you can use on food crops or consumed by animals and humans.

Other Outdoor Drought Survival Tips:

  • When using a hose, control the flow with an automatic shut-off nozzle.
  • Avoid purchasing recreational water toys that need a constant stream of water.
  • Consider purchasing a new water-saving swimming pool filter.
  • Use a pool cover to reduce evaporation when not using the pool.
  • Do not install or use ornamental water features unless they recycle the water.
  • Use Recycled Water in Use signs to show the public that water is recycled.
  • Finally, do not operate during a drought.
These drought survival tips will help you get through this tough time no matter where you live. With these tips, you can drought-proof your home or farm and get through this drought season! Joe Biden flew 3,000 miles to the Pacific Northwest to lecture Americans on the virtues of making sacrifices to tackle climate change.

Biden on Friday delivered a speech on Earth Day from Seattle’s Seward Park and told Americans to drive electric cars.

Electric cars are only for the peasants because Joe Biden bragged about owning a gas-guzzling Corvette.

“I’m an automobile buff – I have a ’68 Corvette that does nothing but pollute the air, but I don’t drive very much,” said Biden.

Spotify will not renew its exclusive podcast partnership with Michelle and Barack Obama, according to Bloomberg.

Michelle and Barack Obama are leaving Spotify after the audio streaming giant reportedly dropped its podcast deal to the first couple. According to the Daily Mail, the couple had a clash with the streaming giant over “exclusivity and how much they were expected to appear in episodes.”

Newsmax reported:

Spotify is not renewing its podcast contract with former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, which expires this year, Bloomberg reports.

The Obamas’ production company, Higher Ground, is reportedly seeking a multimillion-dollar contract with Amazon’s Audible and iHeartMedia, but is having a hard time shopping the podcast.

Today, six years later, the Obamas may not be in such demand, Bloomberg reports, saying that the power couple has clashed with Spotify over their air time and lack of syndication rights.

The Obamas want to air several shows at once on multiple streaming services. In recent years, leading streaming services, such as Netflix, have sought out or produced exclusive programs with a minimum of a dozen segments. The Obamas reportedly offered Spotify a limited-edition, eight-part series.

Social media users celebrated this good news. One user said, “I always laugh at Obozo, he’s such a joke, especially that he thinks he’s still relevant. He did nothing for the black population and lied to the Nation, over & over. Spotify just cancelled him, so should we. Adios, @BarackObama, you’re a nobody, & the 2nd worst president EVER.”

“Hi @Spotify I see you cancelled @BarackObama‘s podcast. I didn’t even know he had a podcast with his husband. Who has more subscribers? @joerogan or #Obama? Which is the better investment? #Capitalism or #Wokeism?

Earth Day Fun Fact: Co-Founder Murdered His Girlfriend, Stuffed Her in a Trunk, and Composted Her Body

0

Earth Day 2022 is Friday April 22nd.
It is the 50th Anniversary of the godless event.

Earth Day founder Ira Einhorn died in prison in 2020.

Einhorn was convicted of murder after killing his girlfriend and composting her body.

Sad news for environmentalists.

A former hippie guru who lived the high life in Europe for years after murdering his ex-girlfriend in Philadelphia in the 1970s has died in prison.

Ira Einhorn, 79, died early Friday in a state prison in western Pennsylvania of natural causes, according to Susan McNaughton, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Corrections. The death at SCI-Laurel Highlands was not related to the COVID-19 virus, she said.

Ira had claimed that he founded Earth Day and certainly was popular with enviros. He lived the lifestyle by composting the woman he murdered.

Ira Einhorn was on stage hosting the first Earth Day event at the Fairmount Park in Philadelphia on April 22, 1970. Seven years later, police raided his closet and found the “composted” body of his ex-girlfriend inside a trunk.

A self-proclaimed environmental activist, Einhorn made a name for himself among ecological groups during the 1960s and ’70s by taking on the role of a tie-dye-wearing ecological guru and Philadelphia’s head hippie.

But the charismatic spokesman who helped bring awareness to environmental issues and preached against the Vietnam War — and any violence — had a secret dark side. When his girlfriend of five years, Helen “Holly” Maddux, moved to New York and broke up with him, Einhorn threatened that he would throw her left-behind personal belongings onto the street if she didn’t come back to pick them up.

And so on Sept. 9, 1977, Maddux went back to the apartment that she and Einhorn had shared in Philadelphia to collect her things, and was never seen again. When Philadelphia police questioned Einhorn about her mysterious disappearance several weeks later, he claimed that she had gone out to the neighborhood co-op to buy some tofu and sprouts and never returned.

Einhorn was caught red-handed, but was protected by his lefty comrades.

Via TIME Magazine from 1999.
(Warning on content)

A Drexel student who lived in the apartment below Einhorn’s recalled a “blood-curdling scream” and heavy banging one night in the fall of 1977. In a neighborhood of frat houses and party hounds, the student downstairs thought nothing of it. But the odor that followed within weeks was impossible to ignore, as was the putrid, dark-brown liquid that oozed down through the ceiling from Einhorn’s apartment. The tenant and his roommate tried unsuccessfully to clean it away, then called the landlord, who called plumbers. Einhorn stubbornly refused to let the workers into a padlocked closet just off his bedroom.

The private detectives turned it all over to police, and on March 28, 1979, at 9 a.m., homicide detective Chitwood knocked on Einhorn’s door. Once inside, he headed straight for the locked closet. He pried it open with a crowbar and immediately smelled a “faint decaying smell, like a dead animal.” Next he sprang the lock on the steamer trunk. The newspapers inside were dated August and September 1977. Under them was Styrofoam packing material. Chitwood scooped through it until he came to something he couldn’t identify at first, and then it was clear. A hand. A human hand. He scooped some more, and as he did, Holly Maddux slowly emerged. Einhorn stood by, impassive.

Then began the parade. One after another at Einhorn’s bail hearing, his supporters took the stand in his defense. A minister, a corporate lawyer, a playwright, an economist, a telephone-company executive. They couldn’t imagine Einhorn’s harming any living thing. Release of murder defendants pending trial was unheard of, but Einhorn’s attorney was soon-to-be U.S. senator Arlen Specter, and bail was set at a staggeringly low $40,000 — only $4,000 of it needed to walk free. It was paid by Barbara Bronfman, a Montreal socialite who had married into the Seagram distillery family and met Einhorn through a common interest in the paranormal. It was Einhorn’s new rage, and his orbit of friends had expanded to include Uri Geller, the spoon-bending Israeli illusionist.

What a godless group.

Plane Crashes Near General Mills Food Plant Amid Outbreak Of Fires In Food Processing Facilities Across The Nation

0

A small plane killed two people as it crashed miles away from a General Mills plant in Georgia on Thursday night, exploding on impact and nearly demolishing the cereal manufacturer’s facility.

“Obviously this was a devastating crash and there are no survivors,” Covington police Capt. Ken Malcolm told reporters following the collision. “We are working on a lead to determine who the victims were in the crash.”

“According to witnesses, they believe the plane was having trouble gaining altitude. They could hear that there was engine trouble,” he continued. “Suddenly the plane veered to the right and immediately came straight down and crashed into the lot behind us. This is the General Mills plant that produces cereal here in our area. The plane went down in an isolated area here on the lot behind us in an area where they store tractor-trailers. The plane came down into four, what appear to be empty, trailers.”

“The fact that it didn’t crash into the plant, saved many lives,” Malcolm added. “Our job is to contain the scene, turn over the scene to the [Federal Aviation Administration].”

General Mills issued a statement following the incident, assuring, “No employees were harmed and we’re partnering with the FAA and local law enforcement.”

According to law enforcement officials, the aircraft, a Cessna twin-engine plane, crashed approximately 35 miles east of Atlanta in an isolated parking lot near an industrial plant off Interstate 20, nearly demolishing the General Mills plant.

The FAA issued a statement noting that the incident is undergoing investigation.

The plane crashed at around 7 pm, the FAA confirmed, adding, “We don’t have additional information at this time.”

The crash near the General Mills plant comes after a string of food processing plants have been set ablaze across the United States over the past six months amid soaring food prices and historic inflation.

On  August 11, Tyson Foods Inc TSN.N meat-processing plant in Kansas caught fire causing significant damage. The plant was subsequently indefinitely shut down despite providing approximately 6 percent of the US supply chain’s beef. Analysts warned the closure of the facility would catastrophically impact market prices nationwide.

Days later, on August 23, Patak Meat Products, a meat processor in Cobb County, Georgia was set ablaze. The temporary closure of the facility, a family-owned business had minimal impact on the national food supply chain.

On Sept 13, a third food plant was set on fire. JBS beef production plant in Grand Island, Nebraska, which processes 5 percent of the nation’s beef, was reportedly aflame for nearly 15 hours. Firefighters resorted to employing aerial devices and three engine companies to isolate the fire.

On February 22, Shearer’s Food Processing Plant in Hermiston, Oregon, which supplies a large portion of the western United States with potato chips, burned down.

A boiler fueled by natural gas allegedly exploded,  setting the plant on fire and injuring several employees.

On March 16, a Walmart facility in Indianapolis, Indiana was set aflame. The Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives bureau’s National Response Team is reportedly investigating the cause and origin of the fire.

On April 11, a fire demolished East Conway Beef & Pork. Just two cows were killed. Firefighters spent 16 hours hosing down the rubble, the Conway Daily Sun reports.

On April 13, a massive fire at the Talyor Farms Processing Facility in Salina, California was ignited, burning down nearly 85 percent of the 225,000 square foot building. The California agriculture company supplies salad kits in grocery stores nationwide.

On April 15, China-owned US pork producer, Smithfield Foods, shut down its operations in South Dakota. the plant Chinese billionaire owner Wan Long, claimed the US facility warranted closure amid the threats presented by COVID-19.

Earlier this week, on April 19, a fire destroyed the headquarters of Azure Standard, the nation’s primary supplier of organic and healthy food. The cause of the fire remains unclear.

Azure Standard founder and CEO David Stelzer issued a statement warning the temporary shutdown of production would have a major detrimental impact on the supply chain.

“For our customers, three primary product groups are affected due to the destroyed automated liquid pour facility, fruit packing facilities and carob products facilities,” Stelzer said.  “Because of this, we will experience out-of-stock status for Azure Market oils, honey and vinegars – basically any Azure Market liquid product – as well as our carob products for the short term. We are not yet at fruit harvest, so no immediate impact will be experienced from the loss of our fruit packing facility. None of the products we distribute for our vendors will be affected.”
