Police on Thursday fatally shot a man trying to forcefully enter an elementary school in Gadsen, Alabama.

The potential intruder went to several locked doors trying to get into Walnut Park Elementary School before police shot him dead, according to Gadsen City Schools Superintendent Tony Reddick.

And Joe Biden is opposed to “hardening schools” in the aftermath of the mass shooting at an elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.

Republicans have pitched measures to beef up security at schools such as single point of entry, fencing, metal detectors and armed security.

Joe Biden and the Democrats are pushing back on the security proposals because their goal is to ban guns.

Responding police officers engaged the intruder before shooting him dead.

No children were harmed.

The identity of the intruder has not been released at the time of this publication.

A person who was trying to enter an Alabama elementary school where a summer program was being held was shot to death by a police officer Thursday morning, authorities said.

Etowah County Sheriff Jonathon Horton told The Gadsden Times that a police officer from nearby Rainbow City was working as a school resource officer and encountered the person, got involved in an altercation and called for backup, Horton said. At least one other officer responded and the person was shot to death.

No students were hurt, sheriff’s officials said. “All kids are out” of the building, Reddick said, and most didn’t even realize something had happened.

“We don’t know the potential of what could have happened had those two officers not responded the way they did, so we very much commend them for that,” Reddick said.

Authorities didn’t immediately release the identity of the person who was killed or any details about the altercation, including whether the person who died was armed or why they might have been trying to get into the school.

Twitter finally responded to Elon Musk with data on how many bots are included in the company’s daily activities.  They reportedly gave him everything.

Elon Musk uncovered a material breach in Twitter’s financial reporting to the SEC a few weeks ago.  While Twitter has been reporting that only 5% of its accounts were bots, the real number may be 20% or higher.  This was horrible news for the far-left social media giant.

Twitter has been filing quarterly reports for years that say that only 5% of its accounts were bots.  But the number, in reality, may be much higher.  If this is the case, it means Twitter has been lying in its financials and could be downgraded and ripe for lawsuits.

When companies provide their numbers to the SEC they are to be accurate.  Any discrepancies will have to be reported and adjusted for in current and prior periods.  This is a really big deal.

Yesterday the social media giant gave Musk access to its entire “firehose” of data.

Elon Musk’s latest objection to the $44 billion deal he signed to buy Twitter is that the company hasn’t provided enough information. That, Musk’s lawyers allege, has made it impossible for him to get a loan—one of the few conditions that would allow the Tesla and SpaceX CEO to get out of the deal.

Except that argument likely won’t work. On June 8, Twitter gave Musk access to its entire “firehose,” a stream of tweets and metadata about them that encompasses the 500 million tweets per day, according to The Washington Post.

The botched defunding of the police case study has also demonstrated that getting rid of the police also causes a whole mess of other issues related to civil responsibilities. As of this week, the city government is facing a litany of lawsuits and is being forced to pay back $5 million in illegally-issued parking tickets following a court ruling, according to the Seattle Times.

The ruling forces the city to pay back over 100,000 parking citations that had been issued since the fall of 2021 because they had been issued by city ‘parking enforcement officers’, who had been hired to replace the police, but did not have (and were not officially given) the authority to write tickets or authorize vehicles to be towed.

In addition to writing tickets, ‘enforcement officers’ also carried out over 10,000 tows, impounding over 1,700 cars.

Unbelievably, the city will reportedly not refund the cost of the illegal tows automatically, forcing citizens to submit the issue for review, according to the Seattle Times.

The complete failure of the program has people who are involved reeling over the mountain of lawsuits that will inevitably begin pouring in, especially in the cases of impounded cars. In fact, the president of the City’s only contracted towing service – Chuck Labertew, Lincoln Towing – is guaranteeing he is going to get some of the first resulting legal action, which, he says, will be sent directly to the ones responsible for this mess.

“What’s going to happen here is that we’re going to get sued, I can guarantee it, and I’m going to forward every one of those lawsuits on over to the city.”

Back to the drawing board.

Two preschool teachers were arrested earlier this month for child cruelty after being caught on video abusing children at a daycare center in Roswell, Georgia.

40-year-old Zeina Alostwani and 19-year-old Muslim refugee Soriana Briceno were both charged with Cruelty to Children-1st Degree, according to Roswell police.

A mother last Thurdsay checked on her son by watching live video of the classroom at Parker-Chase preschool when she witnessed the child abuse, WSB-TV reported.

The parents of the little boy immediately called police after they saw one of the teachers stepping on a child’s hand and other one forcefully pushing their index finger on a child’s forehead.

Soriana Briceno, the Muslim refugee who is in the US on asylum, was seen stepping on a child’s hand and kneeing a child in the back.

More vicitms have come forward with other instances of abuse, prompting law enforcement to expand their investigation, police said.

“So we have several weeks of video to go back and review to make sure there are no other instances of this kind of behavior,” Roswell police Timothy Lupo said.

“Alostwani and Briceno appeared in front of a judge Tuesday, where prosecutors asked that they not be granted bond. Alostwani was granted a $75,000 bond and Briceno was not given bond based on her asylum and immigration status.” WSB-TV reported.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Thursday said the Supreme Court Justices are protected and that “nobody is in danger” less than 48 hours after an assassination attempt on Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

House Democrats on Wednesday evening blocked a bill to provide more security for Supreme Court justices and their families.

“This passed unanimously in the Senate, yet Speaker Pelosi refuses to bring it up for a vote—despite today’s foiled plot to kill Justice Kavanaugh. Shameful.” GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy (CA) said on Wednesday.

Pelosi was confronted about it on Thursday and absurdly claimed the justices “are protected” during her weekly press briefing.

Pelosi rambled on about supposedly working with the senate on the bill to provide more security to justices.

“Nobody was in danger over the weekend because of not having the bill,” Pelosi said as she walked away.
