TFB’s Photo Of The Day cares about pets. In fact, any pets. Here’s the unmanned ground vehicle in the form of a semi-autonomous “dog” at the Cape Cod Space Force Station. This pet named “Spot”, is there to enhance the base security protocols. It doesn’t look like it’s armed, but the guards surely are.
Automated robotic security firm, Asylon Inc., will partner with the 6th Space Warning Squadron, in increasing efficiency of installation security. The squadron will benefit in being provided assets, in the form of the robotic security dog and charging station, to maintain high tempo perimeter security operations for deterrence and real time intelligence. The UGV nicknamed Spot, poses with two U.S. Air Force defenders while on patrol during a demonstration on its first day of duty.
“Do not pet”
