POTD: Heckler & Koch HK437 ”Sneaker” – First Order in Germany

The goal of TFB’s Photo Of The Day is to give your eyes something worth watching and add information to your brain about new, interesting facts from the world of firearms. Over the years we have shown firearms and soldiers from north to south, east to west in almost any imaginable situation and climate. Today we have the Heckler & Koch HK437 in .300 Blackout (7.62x35mm) which H&K calls the “Sneaker”. The rifle is equipped with a VarioRay laser light module from Rheinmetall and an EOTech EXPS.

You don’t hear as much about the .300 Blackout caliber as before, but it is still gaining in popularity with various police and military forces as a medium-range cartridge due to its stopping power and suppressability. The caliber seems to be replacing old 9 mm H&K MP5s in Germany.

According to the German Magazine Soldat & Technik (Source), the Ministry of the Interior, Municipal Affairs, Housing and Sports of the State of Schleswig-Holstein recently commissioned Heckler & Koch Germany to manufacture and supply the HK437 in .300 Blackout. Apparently, the German Police in Schleswig-Holstein will get 60 weapons for training and 140 weapons for operations. It seems that the first official order for the HK437 is hereby done.
