Bear Creek Arsenal recently teased a new 9mm pistol caliber carbine they will soon be offering from their online store – the 9mm Bufferless Carbine. This new carbine will feature a new bufferless design with the ability to be fired and operated from the folded position and will make use of 9mm factory Glock magazines.

Like previous 9mm Bear Creek Arsenal uppers, the bufferless version will feature a 1/2×28 threaded barrel, M-LOK upper options, and a side charging upper receiver and bolt design. Although very few actual details or official specifications have been released on the new 9mm Bufferless Carbine, we can assume that it will be using a bolt carrier group similar to what is offered in other 9mm PCCs like the R&D Precision PW9 and the MONTGO-9 from Matador Arms.

From the images provided, it seems like you will be able to use standard Picatinny rail interfaces for stock attachments and I’m also assuming that there will be shorter barreled versions in the AR-9 pistol category that can be used with braces. The lower also seems like it will feature a beveled and flared magwell or a magwell conversion so that it can accept standard factory 9mm Glock magazines. If you look closely at some of the pictures, it seems like the magwell has an additional sleeve added to it from Stern Defense. Stern Defense currently offers several configurations of 9mm pistol and carbine conversion kits but they do not offer a bufferless version.

We can probably expect the Bear Creek Arsenal 9mm Bufferless Carbines to hit the market sometime within the next couple of months and if I had to guess, I would assume that they would probably go for around the same price or slightly more than their standard side-charging 9mm uppers which are often priced around the $300 range. Let us know what you think of Bear Creek Arsenal’s upcoming offering and if you might consider picking one up to add to your collection.
