Luth-AR have released a new AR pistol grip called Wing Grip which is basically an improved and ambidextrous version of their Chubby Grip. Compared to the latter, the Wing Grip is completely symmetrical with an identical palm swell geometry on either side, a circular palm shelf and an ambidextrous thumb shelf. Other differences from the Chubby Grip include the stippling-like texture on the top portion of the backstrap, rear horizontal serrations, and lack of texture over the thumb shelves which are replaced with Freedom Flag panels for Maximum Freedom.
Luth-AR @ TFB:
- New Sidekick Balance Weight for Long-Range PRS Shooting from Luth-AR
- NEW Luth-AR MCA-22 Chassis for the Ruger 10/22
- New Luth-AR Modular Trigger Assembly
- Updated Luth-AR MBA-5 Buttstock for AR Carbines
- Luth-AR Announces Widebody Palm Handguard
The Wing Grip™ is designed with shooter ergonomics in mind. The full palm swells fill the hand, providing a consistent and rapid grip, properly positioned to promote accurate and repeatable shots on target. The thumb rests and palm shelfs work together to lock the hand in place shot after shot, while the raised trigger finger surface, forces the finger into the proper curved position for better trigger control and comfort.
The Luth-AR Wing Grip is made out of Thermoplastic Vulcanizate (TPV) which is apparently a rubbery polymer and according to Luth-AR provides a tacky and slightly rubberized feel. Currently, this grip is available in black color option only, however, because the Chubby Grip is offered in black and FDE colors, I assume FDE Wing Grip will also be available in the future. The overall weight of the Wing Grip is 4.4 oz.
The Luth-AR Wing Grip is listed on the company’s website at an MSRP of $28.95. It comes with the hardware necessary for the installation. This product is made in the USA.
